The double jump ability was only given when you defeat the second boss. Without the double jump, the second boss was a total pain in the ass.

I agree. It was so hard me and my sister died every time we played this until I found out before you unlock double jump you can duck to avoid attacks too. We didn't know that as we always just jumped.

Damn, bosses 2, 3 and 4 scared the hell out of me when I was a kid...

The second boss was badass. The lightning mixed with him being badass

i always thought Crunch was bad in the fights where he used the evil mask's power. but keep in mind that in the cortex fight, Crunch tries to break free from Cortex. (which is the reason why Cortex gets punched onto the battlefield.)

Atmospheric Pressure was awesome when I played, but was hard as HELL!

when I saw the fourth boss I though "NOW THAT IS A GHOST!!"

Great game this was boss 3 was the best but it crunchs design was scary but the soundtrack was amazing the best in crash 4

That was probably my favorite Cortex boss fight, now that I think of it!

Ben Gray I thought it was a pretty solid game, but I think to some it was just a little bland. Perhaps it didn't have the lightheartedness or sense of humor that the other games did, which could cause some discontent. I don't hate it, but I wouldn't really call it among my favorite Crash games either.

Ben Gray I can't remember much from it, but it is lacking that humorous tone like in other crash games, especially Twinsanity. Even the music seems...plain. I enjoyed this game, but it felt like it was missing something. Needless to say, Twinsanity is probably one of my favorite Crash games, along with Warped.

+Ben Gray It did feel like a downgrade from the ND games. A lot of gameplay details didn't work as well and the cosmetics were poorer despite being on a newer console (look how bad the cutscenes are and how less detailed the levels are). It had some fun levels though, and it's not as repetitive as some of the other Crash titles. More fun than people claim it is and at least it's not riddled with glitches and errors like Twinsanity.

Ahh these memories keep flooding back.

I always thought that the 3rd boss would be less cheaper if they used the boulder chase engine again, and instead of running to get the mech, he'd dry to lower Crunch into a water pit.

guys. Crunch was just an all-around likeable and dynamic character. Can't lie saying I didn't think he's a welcomed third edition to the bandicoot trio. Him and Nina Cortex. I know they sometimes don't come off as original, but you should've seen what they FREAKIN DID. Crunch, I believe, is the ONLY Crash character to appear in TWO titles switching moral-sides(CNK--fully hero and Twinsanity). Nina helped beat the Evil Twins and appeared as Arachnina as a final boss(may I mention who's a final boss in THIS vid as well?)

I always loved the music in boss 4.

The PS2 version of Wrath of Cortex is the most polished version, because everything was so detailed. The Xbox version was a little less polished, but the detail on Crash's fur was more dynamic. The GameCube version is considered the least polished version because the lighting and shading effects were absent, the water effects were bland, and the crystals were no longer see through like in the PS2 and Xbox version.

Not a bad game, but definitely a few notches down from Warped. Of course, I think Warped was the best so it would have been very hard to top.

My childhood :) (But on the last boss, there wasn't a health bar for Cortex. Also, when Crunch activated a "trap thing" there was a yellow, blue, red or purple slight coloring in the european version. I think)

The second boss was the worst. I has about forty lives and by the end I had about eight.

2nd and 4th boss can be hard and on the final he really took his time on the buttons where as on my version crash was jumping all buttons every 1 sec dang it was a challenge

I think i know all attacks's damages From Crunch on Wind element: Eyes thunder balls shots takes 5% each projectitles hits you,neutral to dodge and easy to shoot,Hit spot:Eyes Thunder barrage takes 10% any rain thunder hits you and random locations to dodge,easy to shot,Hit spot:Body Giant Thunder Ball shot:??% damage, the easiest attack to be dodged and to shot on Crunch,Hit spot:Left Hand Laser Hand:1%damage with multiple hits very quick,hard to dodge and attack at the same time,Hit spot:Right Hand

It's strange to think about it, you had some other bosses like N. Gin, and a couple others but instead all you get is basically crunch, Cortex and the elementals

Well, N. Gin Pointed out that Crash Always Finds a way to Defeat Them, so They Needed a backup plan.

I think this is quite honestrly one of the best crashes its the first indepth one

This game looks like an early PS3 game, and it was on the fucking PS2. Naughty Dog have always been technical wizards.

But twinsanity was weird so I like that one better It was very different then the others and the soundtrack

Because Cortex created Crash when he made Crunch (the bosses) it kinda made him Crashes big brother which was good like Crash bandicoot but Crunch was bad because he was being controlled by Cortex and the elementals (masks) sorry if it's confusing

Actually, you can say for Crash fans it's the "worst" version of the game. They wouldn't be used to the gamecube controls, but the game cube version is more valuable and doesn't have long load times.

My brothers favorite is a tie between 3 and 4

cortex doesnt have a health bar in th ps2 version lol, only in the xbox and GC versions. i forgot that and got puzzled for a sec XD
