Thanks, basically anyone liked that Spyro music, originally I planned to change it in the final release, but maybe it will remain, well, unless I find a composer in the meantime, and that would be awesome.

Your Fangame is incredible, you combined elements of the open world and platforms at the same time and the graphics are very well worked, the game to be made by only one person per person, that is, by you it seems that an entire studio made it. I just played the demo, it looks pretty good so far but I had some problems. - Some places require a perfectly timed jump (e.g. 3:48, I can't even reach there). - Platinum relic times are very tight, I feel like some of them are nearly impossible to beat. - It seems there are a lot of secrets (I haven't found all of them), maybe it would be nice to add some hints. However, it's pretty fun to play, the gimmicks are interesting. Keep it up!

Thanks much for you feedback Airumu! So the 3:48 is the iconic but pro technique, and in this game is canonic, it's easier to do It in this game but of course if you play with a game pad. If you have a problem with that you can also wait to unlock the orange power. To beat the platinums you must unlock all the powers of the demo first. I'm able to do much a lot better times in every level :) Btw you need the green and orange power and the Speed shoes of course, then you just have to learn the game mechanics, how the Crash speed works, how to keep it with all the moves. Every secret has more than one hint, the game has been tested by a friend and he found everything on his own. I just would like to recreate that feeling of discovery, made by thinking and having intuitions, that I loved in Crash 2 or Oddworld games. Hope you will enjoy since you figure them out!

Yeah I use a game pad but it doesn't seem to work, and I have to reach there to unlock the orange power, isn't it?

Actually you're right, you need that for the orange power in the demo.. Sorry xD Well, to trigger it you have to press basically togheter jump and spin, the timing is different compared to Crash 2 and 3, but for me is actually easier. Anyway considering what you are saying, I will make more similar to the original Crash.

@@airumu I updated the build, the way to make that jump it is basically the same, but you have a bit more time to perform slide+jump+spin, just remember, for the hihest jump you still need to press the spin basically instantly after the slide + jump, I usually press them almost together. I also modified and explained better how to perform the jump in the tutorial. Hope you'll get used to it. :)

If you have performance issues with laptops: Go to the desktop, right click with the mouse on any free space, select Nvidia control panel, go to the "program settings" Tab, then choose a program in the other Tab, you should see Crash Bandicoot N.finite as a selectable program. Now with the game selected choose "preferred graphic processor" and select Nvidia gpu, then go below and apply. Wait a second before to close the page. Now try again the game. If you have an AMD graphic card you probably need to do the same but with the Radeon software. I also advice you to set your refresh rate monitor at 60hz (if is higher) to play properly with vsync, you can do it on screen settings directly on windows.

Yes, well, it's a story that just begins in a not specific moment, but anyway after all the other games.

Take a look on game jolt for new updates. I will support this demo with updates to fix any problems and maybe add some other challenge.

Hey dude, I did try this demo and wow, it's really good. Also had some glitches happening. Well, I was doing time trial on Snowy Valley, the sound of the penguin spinning kept replaying again and again, also I don't know if this normal but well, Polar Run is unlockable with 5 gold relics but the problem is that I got 3 golds and 1 platinum so that should count as 4 since platinum is gold but faster and the game counts 3. Well, so if we admit you got only platinums you can't unlock the level. I found some secrets really cool and the powers too. I look forward to the full release, it's an excellent job! :)

Thank you so much for this feedback! The relics problem surprised me because i thought i fixed the problem, I think you are able to unlock the level anyway, but It only shows the gold relics earned. ​@@Runpei_ Yes, save data are located in the local appdata, shared with all the versions. You can dash with shift button or L1, RB, if you play with a keyboard you can also customize all the buttons.

If you have the 2.4 version please download the 2.5, the 2.4 breaks the jump when you change a layer. Sorry for that.

Hey this looks great! Slightly odd you chose Spyro music for some of it, but seems great! I'm guessing the full release is still a long way off yet?

Thanks, yes, probably a year or so. For the Spyro music i agree, actually I would like to make an original soundtrack, but to much work for now.

@@DrSmug-yj9ot Don't know, I never had luck before asking help with sprites or soundtrack, and considering that this game doesn't have an original art style, but copied as much as I could from the original games, don't know how much I can inspire a composer, and even for free.. I will try to make something on my own tho, just I don't know when.

Si è fatta aspettare parecchio! Ahahah Ho iniziato a promettere una demo da circa 4 anni, poi il progetto è cambiato, idee, design, riscrittura del codice. Sono molto contento anche io di essere arrivato a questo punto.

Go to the desktop, right click with the mouse on any free space, select Nvidia control panel, go to the "program settings" Tab, then choose a program in the other Tab, you should see Crash Bandicoot N.finite as a selectable program. Now with the game selected choose "preferred graphic processor" and select Nvidia gpu, then go below and apply. Wait a second before to close the page. Now try again the game.

I loved the game, and it's in the demo version, can you imagine the full version? It's already one of my favorite Crash fangames. I discovered most of the secrets (Including version 2.0), I'm at 96%, the only gem missing is the Orange Gem, which as you said is very difficult to find. Can you give me one more tip? For example, is this gem on a secret route or will it appear in the level if I follow certain steps? And will she appear in the First Part or the last Part of the level? I have my suspicions that the "?" and the puddles scattered throughout the first part of the level are somehow connected.

So glad to hear that! :D Yeah, for the orange gem, like the red one, you need to do a specific thing. Just try to connect all the supposed hint, there are 3 standard, and think also about what kind of secret connects together the Blue and Green gem. I can't say more xD

I just played the demo, I loved the game, I liked all the additions. Then I will record a video on the channel. However, I found some bugs and difficulties, the bug that bothered me the most was in Under Pressure, I am not able to use the Spin Attack in this level, only when I press the pause button. And one more thing, is it possible to get the color gem from the Level 1? I'm still trying to decipher the riddle.

@@TomMezrus Yeah, I didn't even know you could play with a joystick to be honest. Well, the other bug I remember was the one @QixingClub reported, which was from relics to release the last levels. Platinum did not count as gold.

Sorry, for some reason I don't receive notifications of comments on my own videos.. That's very annoying. Anyway, when you say buggy you mean slow right? Do you play with a laptop? I'm sorry, because I can understand your frustration considering how poor the quality of the sprites is, how low the resolution exc.. This is a real 3D game with 2D sprites, projections and many shaders, the game constantly needs to check many elements in different layers. You can increase the performance in some situations by the option menu in game, but there is nothing I can actually do to improve the performance overall that I didn't do already. I could release a 30fps version, but I assure you, it's a huuuge work that can create tons of new bugs, but still, I can't assure you that the game will work flawless. I'll think about it, but is not a promise.

That is very weird, but you actually let me realize that there was another potential problem with that. It's fixed now, so try to download the new 2.7 version and come back where Crunch was.

Ciao Tom, grazie per il tutorial, i primi livelli ora sono scorrevolissimi, unico problema adesso invece è il livello Fabbrica Dinamite. Una volta che entro nel portale, torna il problema del lag mentre gioco il livello 😢

@@MadMatt95 Mi dispiace molto, se il resto del gioco funziona probabilmente è il tuo hardware a non reggere il livello, che fa molto uso delle luci. In seguito potrei trovare un modo per ottimizzare ulteriormente il sistema di illuminazione, del resto si impara programmando, testando e ritestando. Attualmente ho ottimizzato il gioco al massimo delle mie capacità.

@@MadMatt95 Non mi vengono in mente molte idee, una cosa però potresti provarla. Vai di nuovo su Nvidia control panel, seleziona sempre Crash come programma, e tra le varie impostazioni dovrebbe esserci un'opzione chiamata "gestione dell'alimentazione" o una cosa del genere, dovresti scegliere "usa massime performance", poi salva e prova di nuovo. Un altra cosa che potresti provare è aumentare il valore "sleep margin" all'interno del file .ini dentro la cartella del gioco. Passa da sleep margin = 10 a 25 e poi salva
