worse part is I was looking at a walkthrough cause I couldnt find the last few crates and it said "you should have 134 crates at this point" at the last checkpoint and I had that many, but it wasnt enough. I just looked back at the tires and there was 0 mention of either crate in them, so obviously someone made the walkthrough and didnt actually complete the level. GG IGN

i wish that they'd at least place a wumpa fruit to signal it, or something. although the first three games had some cryptic shit like this, like in crash 2 when you have to get back to the bear.

Before every hidden box or secret hidden path you will see either a sign/flag (often yellow background w/ black skull) or a diagram showing some form of clue/hint (usually for a sequence or a direction) or an often red roughly drawn/painted/tagged skull on a wall/flag/panel or background indicating there's something close that's easily missed. Looking out for the many places this occurs is a huuuuge help.

The one on top of the building is kind of intuitive. The ones in the weels not.

Great video! Really found the emphasis for the hidden boxes useful!

Late, but for other people: When I hit the guy after the bonus, if he broke the mask box behind him it didn't count as broken for me

Those 2 hidden boxes after the 2nd rail! Thats all I was missing. Thanks for the upload.

Guys. I keep missing one. I take the one above the barrel/ I take the 2 in the tires. I take the hidden path. i take the one on top of the building i take the 2 in the hidden gem location. what am i missing?

Do you have to be one with cowboy hat to get the gem at the end ? Been trying got days (no exaggeration)

Do all nitro crates explode at the end when you hit the detonator even ones not phased

so hard, keep breaking the box and missing jump after finally getting up there, trying to double jump but slightly off time still

The box placement at 3:05 was evil. There was no need to super hide anything the player can't see.

I agree but the one at 4:07 is even worse since you have to do the bonus route to see it in the first place lol

That last box under the 2nd rail at the end in the shadows is so naughty. I kept getting 152/153

I can't be the only one who missed that last crate in the 2nd rail section. It's pretty easy to miss, since it's almost the same color as the pipe behind it.

Hold down the jump button when landing on the crate you'll bounce higher, allowing you to reach the crate in the air with the double jump.

Question though… why don’t we explode the Nitrous boxes? Those count as boxes don’t they? Or is it when you hit the final switch all of them explode at the end including those you left behind?

Yes, the switch at the end of the levels explodes all the nitros through out in the level, including any left behind

love this game, but i feel they overkilled the hidden boxes thing.

Looks like crash took some lessons from sonic

I still have 1 crate missing after that! After I found the one in the tires! Where is it!!!!!

I spent an hour looking for a single crate and it was hidden in the other tire before you go to the bonus round, i hate my life

i dont know to how jump high enough to reach the hidden gym!!

You have to time it pretty much perfectly or you don't make it. Hold jump when landing on the crate, double jump at the highest point, and you should make it. It's hard to do, so don't be afraid to die and try again.

Hold b then jump, time the double jump or try a slide jump.

Try to double jump on each box leadong up to it so you are nice and high and can center yourself. Then double jump at peak and you should get it

this game is BS I have 147 boxes right before i do the nitro box then it jumps to 152 missing one box. Played through the level again. Counted the nitro boxes only saw 3 in the main level then with the boxes at the end do only make up 152. what the hell is going on? is it glitched? done this numerous times as well.

I cannot not die in this level less than 3 times! lol

To justify the game costing $60. A normal playthrough would only last you a few hours so they didn't want to hear anybody complaining there wasn't enough game, so just make it so difficult that you'll be playing awhile
