You are the first person I have seen to show the counter every once in a while. Thank you. I don’t get why one would make a box collecting video intending to help others with their box count in a linear game and doesn’t show the box count every once in a while to check which ones we missed.

Yeah, my main problem with other box guides is that they pretty much never show the box counter, so I can’t tell if I ended up missing any boxes or not.

That was my main problem with the nsane trilogy since there isn't a good reacting channel that shows the counter for it but am glad there this guy for crash 4

When trying to slide for the hidden gem, 3:37, i found it easier to crawl halfway under the obstacle then power slide and double jump, i couldn't get him to go out far enough the way Maka did

0:22 OK, I GUESS! (I didn’t know there was more, those were the 6 missing boxes I needed)

If anyone has problems with the slide jump (like I did) to get to the hidden gem. Move a liitle bit towards the camera ( Crash looking to you) and then try the slide jump.

And I like your videos with all the commentary and the helpful tips they help out a lot thank you

damn some of the crates are very well hidden, might take a look at all of your guides.

There’s a single frame where you can jump off a nitro without it damaging you... not worth trying for, but if it happens it’s a nice save :)

This game isn't as hard as 1 or 2 (maybe harder than 3) but the level of play required for 100% feels super steep to me. Levels are extremely long and the 3 death limit is a nightmare, and that's without considering relics. Every level has some very easy to miss crates, too.

Note that every crate milestone after 3:05 is one higher than it needs to be because he unnecessarily breaks the bouncy chest that will be broken by the nitro crate at the end.

To unlock the tape just make it there without dying. I did no deaths no checkpoints but I’m pretty sure it’s just don’t die

I watched this guide and kept track of the box counter every time you brought it down. SOMEHOW I broke 169 boxes, which is 1 more than the total amount of boxes in the level. Even though I still had the ghost box at the end showing me I broke 169 out of 168, the game awarded me the gem, thankfully.

Yeah, I was wondering what was up with that. I ended up having two more boxes on the counter than Maka after getting the hidden gem, and one more before the truck chase.

To those who are missing 6 boxes, before bonus Near the beginning there is a smal pit with an enemy and an iron bouncy crate. You can move towards the screen in this area and find those boxes

How on earth did you get that diamond as I cannot figure out the jump you have done?

The hidden gem is so hard to get I cant slide far enough without hitting the nitro crate when I jump back up and then you have to restart because you exceed the 3 death limit so yeah

Yes, I missed the same 6 boxes everyone else did on my first run-through. I happened to find it completely by accident on my second go when *(SPOILERS)* I saw the Green Gem hint on the wall and started looking around the area, thinking it was somewhere nearby.

Do you mean the slide? If so, it’s B or RB on an Xbox controller.

Did this sht. 15 times. Always missed 6 boxes.... Checked the start like 100 times to find these if I left anything. Ofc it's down there at 0:20..... Not saying I did an alt f4 console edition but I did many many times.

The jump is actually easier than you'd think. The game devs implemented this little mechanic they'd call "Coyote Time." Named after the Looney Toons character Wil E Coyote, who's famous for a gag where he floats in the air until he looks down. You have a brief period of time to jump as if you're still on the ground before you actually start falling. If done right, you will still have a double jump. For this particular jump, you need to slide, then almost at the very end of the slide you jump. Too early you bonk your head on the box, too late you will not slide jump but double jump instead. Learning how Coyote Time works is going to be EXTREMELY helpful in platforming future levels. Especially bonus levels or the levels near the end of the game.

i think you can only collect it if you haven't died before it.

It's destroyed by the nitro crate. When you hit the switch at the end it blows it up.

I didnt notice the hint, i actually found the colored gem on accident. I Noticed the nitro box wasnt jumping and went looking for a secret. Old school crash tactic lol. I had to come here because i couldn't find those 6 damn boxes by the hint lmao

N.Sanely Perfect Relics require finishing the level 100% without dying.

Marks: -1st checkpoint: 21 -Bonus level 39 at entry, 58 after you pass it -3rd checkpoint: 67 -4th cp: 70 -5th cp: 79 -by the time you reach the truck: 96 - end of part 1 of the truck: 125+green gem I forgot to mention the hidden gem marker, but just check the video for it. It's pretty much around 5th ~ 7thcp

This post can be confusing because some people can be at 93 before the truck and still get 100%. Once again if people have been smart enough to spare the crates near the Nitro boxes, they will have a different amount of boxes but those crates will still explode when you hit the ! button at the end.

Yes, thank you for your help, it helped me a bit but sometimes it was confusing as I didn't know if the number was before or after hitting the checkpoint. + I was at 94 instead of 96 when I got to the machine, still got all the boxes at the end.
