You're tripping! He went to the left side of the car as mentioned. He is facing the car from the front.@@refugeemorales8003

He said and went to the left side of the car. Directionality (in auto work and in medicine, etc) is determined from the perspective of the driver/patient. @@refugeemorales8003

And yes, it appears to be accessible from the same position on the 06. However, I don't have a jack or stand to confirm so will have to wait to take it to a shop.
