Cranking Summer Walleye on the Bay of Quinte
Спорт
This week’s #fishncanada episode, Pete Bowman, joins up with Walleye guide Kevin Lavers as they set out to try their hand at mid-summer Walleye. They’re not jigging, nor trolling. Instead, they employ casting crankbaits in, around, and outside of lush weed growth. There are lots of fish including a prehistoric beast!

One of Canada's longest-running fishing shows, Fish'n Canada travels from coast to coast in search of trophy fishing opportunities. First started by brothers Angelo and Reno Viola in 1986, The Fish’n Canada Show has been on the air for over 30 years. Today, Angelo is joined by lifelong fishing buddy, Peter Bowman, and the pair continue to travel across Canada educating anglers using the experience they’ve gained over the years

I fished there for over twenty years and know every one of those spots. Even stayed at Merland park for 10 years or more for our 2 week August fishing trip. Giant sheephead live here too!!

Giant sheephead seem to live everywhere. Or maybe they just follow me around who knows.
The Bay of Quinte is a "gold" mine.
I've lived in the Quinte region all my life and have fished the Bay of Quinte for 52 years & yes the long nose far are very plentiful during this time of year as well as suspended & shallow walleye , awesome show guys 👍 Cheers ✌️

Nice fishing. Lucky you
We are lucky to live in the area!
awesome
Fished Quinte a few times quite some time ago, always had fun. I like casting crank baits for 'eyes. Balsa is good, the tail dancer is an excellent bait. I also like the rattles in a C C shad, and a C C walleye diver gets a lot of time in the water. So does my Rebel spoonbill, but mine isn't signed by Reno. Don't let's forget the Rapala fat rap. Does anyone else still use those? LOL

Hey Roger, luckily we still have a few Angelo and Reno Spoonbills and various other cranks. We partnered up with Yo-Zuri this year for hard baits so we cannot wait to hit the water with their great lineup of hard baits. Should be fun!

Yo-zuri makes some fine baits. I throw a lot more hard baits than soft plastics. In fact most of my baits are museum pieces, made of wood. My one signature spoonbill wears your competitor's signature. It's a Bob Izumi bait. I own a few, just the one signed. Who knows, maybe if his show takes off, it could be worth something, someday. LOL
kevin sounds and acts wacky especially with the fish lol idk if I believe he's a fishing guide
When are you coming to Lake Winnipeg to slay some Greenbacks?

It is always on our minds. You need to hint to your tourism peeps that you need a dose of Fish'n Canada in your part of the world 😉
How do I get in on a draw to fish on the Bay of Quinte?
What is the name / model / colour of the white with orange belly crankbait you were using in this video? Having a hard time figuring that one out and would love to try one out...!

Looks like a Cotton Cordell Walleye Diver, did you ever figure it out? Good luck

@@sendit1158Pretty sure it's Rapala due to the writing underneath (paused the video). Maybe large Shad Rap because they did mention balsa. The colour is still a mystery, it's a bleeding colour but I can't find it online. Bleeding original shad is closest, but the top of the lure doesn't look silver it looks white?
Would love to win one of those life jackets!! Hint hint!

Wow I have never ever watched this short of a video on u-tube with the amount of commercials that this video had. I mean the commercial time was as long as the video time maybe even more. Won't be subscribing to this channel any time soon let alone watching any more videos by this creator. I wrote this comment during just one of the MANY commercials this video had. I don't think tv has this many commercials in an hour long show. Just amazing how many commercials this video had maybe 60+ Wow!
Please stop filleting fish while they are alive, it’s savage, cruel and repulsive.
