I am guessing he just multiplied the frames he did by some amount but you are right, I was thinking he could have just attached some strings and sometimes changed some bits, but then I remembered that the puppets have wire in them so that’s impossible. So this was really cool

@@betagreen5847 not really, he just added motion blur and you can check it by controlling the speed on youtube and pause on any moment when the puppets are moving. You might notice that the frames/pictures are blury on purpose. He probably still used 24 fps.

According to Cranbersher’s twitter, it took the entirety of January to animate the 23 seconds between 4:55 and 5:17. I swear he deserves so much more recognition for his effort going into the story/arg for the guides, really!

I know he is making three more episodes. He said after he has his kick starter (the trailer launched today) he will begin on the new sets since, working outside won't animate well, because of time difficulty. He said this in his newest Comments for Cranbersher. And I'm also excited.

This is getting meta. Cranbersher narrating to his puppets about himself and he’s voicing all the characters.

3:44 I'm finally catching up on this series (so late comment here), but the implication that Cranbersher taught himself dark magic in order to make his puppets animate themselves made me laugh-choke. Mind you, having watched the incredibly time-consuming and, dare I say, tedious amounts of work that go into a single frame, I understand the temptation of forbidden knowledge.

I'm pretty sure that the reason for this is that he used motion blur. There's a stop motion tool that allows you to blur between frames so it looks smoother than it even is. But even without the blur, his animation is crazy smooth. It just gives a sort of more realistic effect.

HOLY FUCK! So smooth and interesting, I could watch an entire movie of them just running around. The idea of the narrator and the different timelines is also incredible!

"What does cranbersher look like exactly?" "A lot like you to. But...huge and squishy." "Really? ...Ew." "Alright, well...the alternative is death by a big squishy guy...." XD

I love how this is still a guide even with how unique and story-driven it's become. Still talking about real-time and framerates, along with the voice-over process. Excellent work!

Amazing how Cranbesher made puppets move while a human move in a shot

God these short films are just so incredible, I love the continued narrative. The animation feels so fluid and life-like, I was convinced I was watching real puppets come to life. Fantastic work, man!

THAT LOOK SO FUN TO MAKE. that's literally my childhood, pretending they were alive and could move around the house and garden! So cool, you did a amazing job can't wait to see what happens!

Who thought a simple stop-motion guide would become a series of videos about stop-motion puppets trying to escape to freedom!!😮 This genius work!

The guide series has all been set on the table with the puppet feet screwed into place... Making the little dudes run all around your house takes mad skills! 2:53 that moment when the older bro glances at the other one with his eyes closed; that is a wonderful touch.

Man this adds a new way of perspective from the puppets becoming aware of their own existence and wondering why they are there.

I like to think that Cranbersher got bored of his old Stop-Motion tutorial series so he decided to turn it into an amazingly well made existential-lovecraftian web series of horror and despair. Boredom is one hell of a drug.

Amazing improvement with the fluidity. I love how the each puppet has it's own distinct character, and that the narrator became a character himself. The fourth wall breaking is cool as well. But Cran, I hope you aren't discouraged about making guides. The narrator is still you after all, and I for one don't think your guides were dumb or stupid - they are amazing beginning points for young motion stop animators. The additional story line is nice and I'm glad you are having fun with it. If you don't feel like adding on to the guide anymore that's fine but I hope you weren't discouraged to do so.

The effect of them moving in real time is really cool, I can't wait to see where the lil puppets go. I hope Narrator's okay...
