Craig Nicholls (The Vines) Interview - Big Day Out 2003 (Fly TV)

Музыка

Craig Nicholls of the Vines interviewed backstage at the Big Day Out 2003 by Fly TV (ABC Australia). The Vines were touring their debut album "Highly Evolved" at the time.
/ thevinesband
The Big Day Out was an annual music festival that was held in five Australian cities: Sydney, Melbourne, Gold Coast, Adelaide and Perth, as well as Auckland, New Zealand. The festival was held during summer, typically in January of each year but was sometimes held as late as early February in some cities including Perth.
The event was conceptualised after the Violent Femmes announced a tour of Australia. Promoters Ken West and Vivian Lees sought another act as middle-level support for the band's tour.[2] They succeeded in securing Nirvana to play the Sydney leg at Horden Pavilion. The Big Day Out debuted on the 1992 Australia Day public holiday in Sydney and eventually expanded to Melbourne, Adelaide and Perth the following year.
The 2003 lineup included acts such as Foo Fighters, Janes Addiction, Queens of the Stone Age, Millencolin, Underworld, Kraftwerk, PJ Harvey, Wilco, The Vines, Jimmy Eat World and Deftones.

Lano and Woodley. If you search The Lano and Woodley Show on KZread you'll find it. Very popular around 1998 or so. Weird that he mentioned it.

@@roysmusicarchive Thank you so much for posting this and the Highly Evolved promotional videos! I saw you uploaded Beck on Rage Guest Programmer in 2003. Do you happen to have The Vines on Rage in 2002? I've been looking for it for a while now but only found snippets of a few seconds...

@@spaceship1969 Sadly, I don't think I do - I feel like this is something I would have recorded though because I was absolutely crazy for The Vines back in the day. I do have a few more tapes I need to trawl through, so you never know - I might surprise myself.

Get a grip, he's nothing like Kurt at all, Kurt was original, Craig is a weak imitation, even that accent is a immigration of some English guy.
