Craig Mabbitt - Sobriety, new album, accidentally joining Escape The Fate

Музыка

Craig Mabbitt is one of the realest dudes I've talked to. His outlook on the music industry and life in general is so refreshing. 3 years sober, Craig talks about how the journey has influenced Escape The Fate's upcoming album, the incredible community he's built on Twitch, how he accidentally joined Escape The Fate while trying to audition for A Skylit Drive, his take on venue merch cuts, why self-love is so important and more.

It’s amazing to me how some people are still so attached to Ronnie’s time in the band when almost their entire discography is with Craig. He has a killer voice and I love all the tunes he’s done. Hate My Self is a really catchy song and Low bounces around a lot instrumentally and is a fun listen. The new album sounds like a lot of fun!

I think people feel robbed of what couldve been if ronnie hadn't fucked up so bad so they feel like craig had a part in stopping their dreams from continuing. When you have an amazing album such as DIYLF you want to see if they can top it but never got the chance to do so. TWIO is an amazing sequel but a lot of people wanted to see where the band was going if they had kept ronnie. I love craigs work but i can see where people come from.

Bro dying is your latest fashion is one of the best emo/scene albums ever. Craig is great and I’ve loved his time in etf, but Ronnie era etf is incredibly timeless

@@iamdillyjexactly. I got no hate for Craig whatsoever, and I was a fan of Craig ETF’s work until 2015’s Hate Me (I think the Monte brothers leaving really crippled the band’s writing), but not knowing what Ronnie’s ETF would’ve sounded like after DIYLF still bums me out. People say “it would’ve still been what Falling in Reverse became”, but I couldn’t disagree with that more. In a different world, the OG line-up of ETF would’ve been an unstoppable force

Craig Mabbit has been a big inspiration for mi since I was 15, even though people is always complainning about him not being Ronnie or not sounding heavy, his carreer has been impresive and with a lot of hard work. I hope ETF/DR have more recognition in the future, I know the new album is gonna be insane! Love from Spain!

I was a Ronnie purest until a few years ago, when falling in reverse started putting out singles instead of albums. I find Craig's lyrics relatable and applicable to the situations In my life. Every song on the new eft album has never failed to re-light my drive, passion and spirit the same way any of my favorite bands do.

Still love Craig ever since Blessthefall all the way up to ETF. Haven't heard any of their stuff since like a couple years ago though but need to listen to their new stuff. Crazy how much he's changed but Congratulations Craig on the sobriety! I'll have to swing by the twitch and see ya.

I was at Craigs 1st show . Extreme thing 2008 . My old band played the 2nd stage before ETF went on. Yes ronnie was there heckling the band. I didnt see it. But ya. Craig came out and nailed it! He did miss the 1st few words of the 1st song but other than that? He was and still is amazing. Nice guy too.

It’s good that bands are talking about venues taking a cut of merch and what not because most people don’t know that they are paying so much because the venue is taking 25%. Every band should talk about this much more.

I met him 3 times by now, and he really is an amazing person. The second time I saw them, he spent hours outside the bus just hanging and chatting with the fans. When I saw them last year, after the concert was over he spent hours taking pictures, signing autographs and chatting with the fans. He is the absolute best!

Remember... ETF = Ronnie BTF = Craig There should have been a His Last Walk tour with Craig and other bands are doing reunions but this probably won't happen because ETF is still a corpse being dragged to this day smh
