I do miss him dearly as a talk show host, but in my opinion I think he got out at the right time. I mean sure we're watching a highlight reel of his best moments of genuine laughter but he was getting bored of it, regardless of how we viewed it as entertaining he himself was getting bored of it. Plus he left the late night talk show during the realm of trump derangement season which you could just tell Craig wasn't going to play ball with cuz it's boring as a joke material the same way norm Macdonald viewed it. So will always have his stand up or any other project he wants to do plus we have KZread videos.

Josh Robert Thompson, the voice of Geoff Peterson, is one of the quickest and wittiest comedians I have ever heard. He is a voice actor, but so funny. Some of the funniest lines on Craig Ferguson are from Josh. This had me tearing up in laughter. I really miss this show.

@@llydrsn Exactly! I was watching Josh(or JRT, or as he said he gets called Geoff Peterson and quite likes it) today talking about how insane it was completely improv 100%. He explained that he would stand the whole time in a little spot off the (left?) stage. He had cameras so that he could see the general direction that Craig was looking. It helped him run Geoff better and with the improv. He also ran Geoff, the mouth and arm, head. The reason he uploaded was because the "I have a pad there" went viral again recently. He took the opportunity to speak about getting the job and about Geoff. Fun Fact, the name tag Geoff wore is a random name tag from "The Price is Right". 😂

Craig actually IS coming back in 2024 with a new show, though I'm not sure if it's classified as a talk show. It'll apparently feature him reacting to clips of... stuff? Admittedly, I haven't looked up the details in a little while. I'd much prefer that he just get a new talk show akin to TLLS, with Geoff returning, but considering how truly funny he is, I'm just happy to have him back in any capacity!

The show evolved into it's final form once Geoff was introduced, and it just kept getting better from there. His chemistry with Craig is incredible. Also, Craig was born to do this kind of show - he is so good at hosting a talk show it's ridiculous. He should have at least continued doing some kind of improv comedy with JRT, even if it wasn't on the late late show. This stuff is lightning in a bottle.

Craig has a podcast on sirius every day. He usually has a good guest and his sidekick (I'm pretty sure) is the guy who was the front half of the horse. He is off the cuff with no filter and he has sooooo much fun when talking with anyone. I love it. Everyone should look it up.

What I loved about this show is that they were so transparent about how little money the show had, always broke character, barely followed script and just had a good time!!!

My favorite FAVORITE part about these bits going to the point of laugh attacks is how AMAZING Josh was at trying to stay in character even while losing his shit. He's laughing AS Geoff. And when you get the giggles or full on laugh attacks, it is SOOO hard to keep doing a voice. His dedication to the bit was out of this world.

I CANNOT imagine being in the studio during the "got a place down there" bit. It's so genuinely hilarious.

This will cure any ailment. It's funny the 1st time you watched it, the 2nd, 3rd , and forth time. Craig by far is the most consistently funny late night host of all time.

the chemistry between craig and josh is just fantastic. It's a shame that josh doesn't have a show of his own.

It's magical, I mean look at the cast, a Scottish comedian with interesting past, a gay skeleton robot, a horse with makeup on, etc.

Since Craig's retirement from the show I've made it a bit of a tradition every year to re-watch these compilations. Every year I still get stitches from laughter.

Jesus, I miss him so much. And Geoff. The freaking joy this show gave us all was off the charts. MAN, if he would do like just a month right now, I would be eternally grateful.

18:06 is where I laugh every single time... Craig and his friend probably had not seen each other prior to him announcing "Misses Lady" coming out, and then the line "How wonderful to have such an esteemed intellectual on the show" threw them both off guard considering how they looked.

Too funny, as always. The way Geoffe sets him off again with that “ I don’t like salsa, but if I did!” 💃🐴💃🐴 His book American on Purpose is eye-opening and hilarious by turns.

Im literally sitting in a room by myself crying from laughter. I miss this guy.

*There will never be a better T.V. talk show duo, ever! Even the build up to Geoff's premiere, Craig was adamant about having this robot on the show. It truly is a magical duo!*

He is the all time favorite talk show host. I could watch all his old shows and laugh every time lol

That whole oyster scene with Steve just kills me every time no matter how many times I watch it haha

I miss this stuff so much... Just lost my great job and my wife wants a divorce.... However, I can watch this with tears of joy... I needed to laugh. Thank you, Craig, Geoff and the Jay Leno Fly!

It’s fun knowing that Josh (the voice actor behind Geoff) also controlled Geoff’s movements because that means that whenever he was laughing he also made sure Geoff was laughing. 😂

This man is one of the most charismatic talk show hosts I have ever seen. Such a pleasure to watch his show.

The last time I watched this it was saving me from the depression of my druggie ex tearing my family apart. I thought since I was a man I would lose my kids and there was nothing I could do about it. I return today with full custody laughing harder than ever. Thanks, Craig, and The Jayleno Fly. This content matters.

I'm in the same position thinking that I'll never see my kids again right now. It's interesting that we both came to the same video to be infected with laughter. It's also encouraging to see it can all turn out good. I'll keep hoping and praying it does for me.

When they would go off script, OMG that's when it was absolute contagious hilarity. Truly gifted comedians.

I never watched a split second of him while he was on the air. And that was undisputedly, without question, my loss.

Still funnier than most things on TV, actually makes you a laugh out loud.

I saw that the video was 26 minutes long and I wasn't going to watch it. Too long. So I though.. Ok, I'll watch a bit.. Then around 20 minutes in, I kept checking the time, wishing there was more. I could watch this stuff all... day... long.

I literally come and watch these every so often just to bring a little light into my life. They (the videos) (and Geoff and Craig) are simply amazing.

10 years on and Craig Ferguson is STILL the most entertaining Late Show Host ever.

I like how close to the camera Craig’s monologues were.

If you're ever having a really crappy day, Craig and his laughter is the perfect way to fix it. And the scenery is pretty nice too.

This show seems like it was incredible when it was on the air, phenomenal. I’ve laughed more watching this video 2 minutes and 30 seconds in than I have my whole life watching any late night show

This was hands down the best late night show ever. With next to no budget they made it amazing.

I miss Craig on late night. This is my favorite video on KZread. Gets me every single time.

The funniest late night host ever.

It is a crime that Craig isn't doing a late night talk show. He makes all of the rest seem like unfunny amateurs. Thanks for uploading. Made my day :)

Crazy that Craig and Conan were the funniest late night show hosts and both of their shows are gone but Jimmy Kimmel is still employed.

Howard Stern used to be a great interviewer until everyone started telling him so... Craig on the other hand rarely got credit for his style of interview but he was truly one of the best. His interview with Steven Frye sticks out in my mind. You could tell he takes pride in his ability to conduct an interview.

Think his tearing of the cards helped with that. The guest would get prepared in questions and he wld tear them up soon as you walked out and it really gave it a more informal feel. Seem to put them at ease. And him being funny. Shows now are to formulaic.

Although stern had some good interviews, it was never because of his interviewing skills, he's awful at it! He always cuts people off with new questions before they can answer the first question, and asks the same mind numbingly boring sex questions over and over again. I was a big fan at one point, but eventually got sick of all his BS. After learning about what a terrible person he is, and the things he did to people behind the scenes, I couldn't even enjoy the old shows anymore (the Artie years), which sucks because I loved Artie. I do remember the Bill Murray, and Cloris Leachman interviews being really good though.

The most entertaining late night show there ever was. Craig developed such an iconoclastic approach to normal TV fare, it became the favorite of more discriminating viewers. Tearing up the pre-interview questions and winging it with guests brought about hilarious segments. And not many would attempt riffing with Robin!
