this is why players are quiet about their injuries: say something - get called a liar. sometimes staying silent is better Seravallis is a clown

Agreed but does seem the Pettersson injury was mismanaged. No rest since January (including All-Star weekend). Mixed communication throughout 2nd half of season (when he also signed large contract). I believe him 100% and it adds up with watching his slower play on the ice. With hindsight, surely they would’ve played this out differently. Almost need the team admit as such and take ownership in order to silence the critics

Serevelli changes his tune depending on what market he addresses

Anyone remember Wayne Gretzky NOT being in the shootout in the Winter Olympics in Japan? Canada didn’t win that tournament either. Sitting Bedard makes about the same amount of sense. Just sayin..

Seravallis take was that he had a knee problem but that management felt that he used it as an excuse for his bad play, ie good players fight through the pain and produce despite being injured. The fact that Tocchet specifically during the playoffs said that Pettersson wasnt injured he just needs to get going, we dont lie about things like this was what he also said. So Tocchet is basically calling Pettersson out as not being tough enough and no injury is excuse enough for his bad play. This could get ugly behind the scenes

Seravelli doesn't deserve any screen time after his comment about Vancouver in general. I hope you never have him back on your show. Dude should not be aloud back on any Vancouver media.

We're not calling EP40 a liar. We're calling him a crybaby. Nobody else is complaining about their injuries.

I love Seravalli for all the reasons fans hate him. If social media was a thing in the 90s, plenty of well respected sports journalists and commentators would have gotten destroyed. Neil MacRae? Tony Gallagher? Don Cherry (and not for his nonhockey related discussions). Social media destroys everything that’s good. He gives his opinion on something as someone who has followed hockey for decades and people fry him. He’s an American guy from Philly. Why would he have any loyalty to the Canucks? The fact that he knows as much as he does about anything on the west coast is a minor miracle. And if he picked the Oilers to win, guess what? They won. They beat the Canucks. Not use getting butthurt over a journalist who is going over and above most of the people down east and south to educate himself on the Canucks. He came out here to cover the series. I don’t like people who kiss my butt. That’s why I loved Tony Gallagher and Neil MaRae. As a kid, I hated that Neil constantly ripped the team, but I respected him because deep down, I knew he was right. When the Canucks were declining in 1995, I didn’t want to believe it. I wanted to believe they’d make the necessary moves to get back to the Cup. Telling the truth will upset a lot of people but I’m an adult. Give it to me straight and tell me what should be done to fix it. The kiddos don’t get that. They want someone to tuck them in and read them a bedtime story. Children.

theres no way tocchet is calling him a passenger if he knew he was injured, something doesn't add up.
