I quilted forever and ever but stopped and believe it or not my grandson has used my quilt pieces made one quilt and now is on his second one?! Never even thought it would be a grandson that would be interested! He quilts his pieces together by machine to make his tops, dies a good job too!

I quilted about 4 baby blanket sized / lap blanket size quilts, but I quit, and now I can't remember how I did it.

Oh yeah forgot about plastic canvas and latch hooked rugs...sigh so many unfinished projects... the styrofoam balls and cones pins and seguin angels...and the bread dough pins... and the imitation play-doh made of cornstarch....and the fake spray snow on the Windows..and the art work in an eggshell... and the miles of yarn knitted tubes made on a wooden spool with 4 nails...i still use to this day the weave loomed pot-holders...so many projects and so many years have passed.. (*even bigger sigh*)

I loved making my crafty plastic canvas when I was younger. I made so many things. I think everyone got at least one Kleenex box holder as gifts from me. I see that there are still patterns out there in the craft shops but I don't know many that still do it. Due to my arthritis I had to give up embroidery and cross stitching but I wonder if I could do plastic canvas with my arthritis. Hmmm might have to find some supplies and see if I can still do this. Thanks for the awesome flood of warm fuzzy memories.

Plastic canvas is larger and easier to see, and I think easier to do. My daughter made a little clothing closet for her little sisters' dolls out of plastic canvas.

Macrame! :-) But I want to make some plant hangers again. I used plain jute & painted wooden beads in the 70's but now there is so much more I can do creatively. Loved plastic canvas, actually still do. Have some waiting to be worked on right now lol Thanks for the peek into the past!

I cross stitched. I have several unfinished projects that may or may not ever get done. I made small framed Christmas ornaments when I was in Jr. High that I still hang on my tree. I have a picture of flying ducks I gave to my husband that's hanging in our bedroom and I made my oldest daughter a Christmas stocking that is very detailed.

LPZ: I LOVED macrame' & cross-stitch. I still see some at Goodwill and know how much time went into making that plant hanger, wall hanging or purse...using knots. It was a "mindless" thing I could do while watching tv, or listening to music. As a young mother...both took away the "stress" of new motherhood.

I used to do cross stitch, hand embroidery, long stitch. I have some of those plastic canvas books too. So much stuff still hanging around, no wonder my kids tell me to get a skip bin ha ha. I have 4 boys and the wives aren't really into any of this stuff unfortunately.

I started a cross stitch for my daughter when she was maybe five years old. She's 25 now, and I never did finish it. I lost it for awhile, and when I found it, she was no longer excited about Minnie Mouse designs.

Hey Lolly! Sorry I have been a little MIA as of late. I so remember plastic canvas. My mother did all kinds of plastic canvas. From the magnets to boxes to cover Kleenex boxes to dolls and drink coasters. She did it all. You wouldn’t believe the amount of supplies I got rid of when she passed away. She even did pictures that you like stuffed certain elements and then framed them. Do you know what I am talking about? About the only craft that I can think of that I don’t do anymore is make candles. Hope you are doing well!

I didn't really think about grease and food back then and especially my aunt was a neat freak on top of that. Lol I basically put a big letter in the center for their last name and on the side I decorated with a symbol all the way down
