Crafting My Ultimate Woodworking Workbench: Unveiling My Masterpiece!
Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль
A few months ago, I completed what (I hope) will be the last workbench build that I will do. Motivated by a need for more floor space in my workshop, a need to have a smooth and reliable work surface, and of course my desire to make everything fancy, I created my best maker workbench.
This workbench is built from Bolivian Rosewood (or Pau Ferro) and Ash with a little Ebony added as trim. I threw in some brass to take it over the top and here we are.
In this video I have added some of the thoughts I was having both during the build and now looking back on the build.
I hope you enjoy watching my journey to both itchy town and glue town!

Very nice work! But it makes me want to scream DON’T TOUCH MY WORK BENCH! If you scratch it I will scratch you! I would be afraid to use it for anything other than a showpiece. Makes it very impractical

Id be upset if dust got on it.
I agree with all the positive comments; this really is an amazing workbench and you should be very proud of how it turned out. I do have one criticism that I'm sure people will blast me for, though: the chat bubbles in the video are quite distracting. I could have done without those altogether.

I enjoyed the chat bubbles but I also would have turned them off to view a second time.
That would make an awesome kitchen island. It's beautiful. I could never get any work done for worrying about damaging that piece of fine furniture. Love the rosewood! 👍
Absolutely a beautiful piece of furniture. Wouldn’t let my tools within ten yards of it.
wow... beautiful!!! thanks a lot for sharing!
Too nice to work on. Great job.
Absolutely beautiful, great work.

Wow, that is one of the coolest workbench builds I've ever seen on YT. Absolutely beautiful. It will be around for generations to enjoy.
Nice job, great job! Sometimes it's unbelievable what kind of things a good master can do.
So this is your writing desk !!! Cener piece to your library !!!
OMG - the TOP!
Andrew, Excellent work, just goes to show you don't need the best tools to make an amazing piece of work! Nicely done.

Beautiful. Well worth it to feel inspired every time you enter your workshop. I replaced my Masonite bench top with a butcher block top, edged all around in maple, with maple/cork jaws for my vises. Makes me happy every time I see it. I especially like your scribing that message in your top!

Dang - that's built better than any furniture I own, let alone shop furniture. Nicely done!
So gorgeous I would be terrified to do any work on it 😅
Very beautiful! And now you have to make a workbench you can really work on, while looking in ohh at this one!😂❤
It is absolutely stunning! My most heartfelt congrats on creating a beautiful piece of art.

Glad you enjoyed it!
Awesome Workbench. It's so nice that it would look better in a dining room than a workshop. Don't get mad about dings, dents, and scratches. I built a simple 4x5ft workbench / outfeed table (cheap - 2x4's and an A grade ply top). I at first hesitated "working" on it because I didn't want to mess it up. Then I told myself that if it doesn't get messed up, I am not building things that people can enjoy. So take pics and then go mess it up a bit! Welcome to KZread!
A masterpiece of elegant but functional design.

I‘m blown away ! Super nice work & I love the refreshing way, you make your videos. ❤Functionality meets „one-of-it’s-kind“ with a handful spice of „thinking-outside-the-box“❤

That's a showpiece, not a workbench, but the drawer front, those are a work of art, stunning to look at, hope you don't mind if i incorporate that in something i build.
I'm a bit late to this video, but I don't think I could bring myself to do any actual work on that. Beautiful bench.
Beautiful! The Bolivian Rosewood is stunning, although I would have a heart attack if it got scratched. But with all the glue you used I'm guessing it will act as added protection! Well done Sir! Congrats on your exceptionally beautiful bench!
That’s amazing. I would be afraid to scratch it or accidentally cut it or something. Beautiful
What an awesome build, but the editing really takes the cake! I hope to see your channel grow!

Stunning work! I couldn’t use it as a workbench though, as I would flip out if I or anyone scratched it 😂
Wow, Wow, Wow, Craftsmanship at a whole new level! You created an Absolutely, Unequivocally; Exceptionally Awesome; Workbench! Well done, Andrew!

Wow, thank you!
I would put that in my living room!!
It's absolutely stunning; the wood on the top is soo beautiful. My concern is that our workbench is one of our most important tools and does it feel too precious to use properly? One of the tricks I really like the idea of intellectually (but struggle with at an emotional level) is first job on a new bench is to take a mallet to it and give it a few hearty thwacks to get it out of the way!
As a workbench, she's just too frigging beautiful to damage by something as plebian as work! First video; loved it so much I subscribed! Keep'em coming!
Way too beautiful to be a workbench. Also, great job 👍

That is a gorgeous "workbench." The species selection/paring is a work of art and the commentary had me laughing 😂. Keep up the great work and thank you for the excellent content!

Fantastic build. Just keep an eye on the metals you put on your leather. It appears to be chrome-tanned and sometimes it will cause steels and brass to corrode badly.
Trult a work of art. Would be great if you had construction plans for this build. I certainly would be more than happy to pay for plans. Great work & best regards from your mates in Sydney Australia
How about some data - cost, hours to make, how long before first deep scratch, 1st pics after a project has been built on it. It is beautiful!
My dining room table isn’t this nice!!! 😂. Beautiful work!!
amazing bench!!!!!! are you really work on that ;) nice work
Would be awesome if I wanted to start making quilts and dresses.
Amazing bench. Curious if there will be any issues with the top with cross lamination and borders. Do you plan to add any vises or other workholding fixtures?
Nice

I absolutely love it, however that being said, I don’t think I could ever lay a tool down on it because I would be afraid to scratch it but if you’re brave enough I’m sure you will!
nice
Looks great. Are you worried about cross grain + wood movement?
Phenomenal design, great execution in the build process, and a beautiful end result. I will happily watch more should you create it. But please, reduce the number of "speech bubbles", they draw away from the craft you're putting into the piece.
So. I’m guessing this is the bar you show the fellas on football night while the actual work bench at the beginning of the video 😂is the actual work horse you break out for making things.
It is awesome, could you tell me how much you spent on the table not including work.
