I’m about to be 27 and tbh it feels discouraging to start my learning journey and think I could even come close to being as good as the artists we love today… especially when most of them have been learning since a child!

Let me tell you one thing man. All of that technical shit is relatively simple to learn. If you put in the time, there's no magic - you'll eventually start flowing in a way that people appreciate. What's hard is getting the life experiences that give you the content to write about. If you're 27, that's nothing. Don't get discouraged, use what you already have, get that technical shit in and start making songs. A tonne of people might have started before you, but some of them say I've been rapping for 10 years, but within those 10 years, they got like 20 songs. It's not 10 years of rapping if you make a song every 5 months. So, if you can accumulate skill faster, shit is going to click man. Wish you all the best. Remember, success happens gradually, then suddenly. Strap in for the long-term.

Its not about how long you do something man its about how much work you put in. For example (might be shit but you should understand what I'm saying): We all have to learn how to walk. A guy walks to work on a straight path every day for 10 years, 5 miles, no hills, purely straight/flat ground. An unhealthy person, never walks anywhere, and is above his expected weight, decides he wants to get fit. He runs, and at first struggles but does it anyway, 5 miles daily up and down hills changing intervals and he has just completed his second month. That guy is already way fitter than the guy that has been walking to work for the last 10 years. See what I'm saying? And honestly 27 is nothing. Pete and Bas, two UK rappers are in their seventies bro. They're helped with the slang by their grandkids but write their own shit. 27 is a long way away from being in your 70s. Keep your head up.

Yo, I was feeling the same way, I turn 27 in a few weeks, but I saw a mini doc on Vincent Van Gogh, and he didn't start his painting journey until he was 27. One of the greatest painters. Don't worry about following anyone else's pace but your own, all that matters is getting to where you want to be. No matter how long it takes. My own words that I need to listen to, tbh.

I have been making music for the last 11 years. Lately, I am experiencing the worst writer's block I have ever had. Ego in the gutter, loss of ideas, mental fatigue, you name it. All of it has an effect and I cannot cook up anything. I have dug deep into all the tutorials all over KZread for lyrical tutorials in regards to contemporary music. There are some great ones out there, yeah. But you... You my friend, are something absolutely amazing. I truly appreciate you and the way you explain and demonstrate it all. You've got a supporter man. Please don't stop, this channel is gonna blow up. And I will be a proud student.

Thank you so much for the kind words man, really! I appreciate the time you invested to write this comment and watching my content. I'll continue making these types of videos, it's a pleasure! I'm glad you find the content helpful with your writer's block - it's a bitch, I think anybody who's been making music long-term has had to deal with it. Part of the game I guess. Wish you all the best man, success and health! Thank you for being part of our community.

This channel freed me up so much with writing lyrics. i was thinking so hard but couldn't come up with anything I thought was worth keeping. This helps me with my phrasing, condensing my syllable count and hitting the right beats on good rhythm I've been rapping for 10 years and didn't want to look for help because of how long I've been rapping I thought I shouldn't look for any help but I'm so glad you make these videos man this gives me a clear format and is super helpful man this channel is amazing

All of his bars and hooks are all fresh ..made up on the spot!!! I SWEAR he’s got an ALPHABET of rhymes and hooks ready to deploy…if you watch him closely you can see him look around, as he raps ..intensively searching and composing his next lyrical bomb drop..You owe it to yourself to go check him out!!

if you wanna spit automatic, better peep the rapping manual. lessers don't dress up rhymes, they keep it casual. btw your videos are great, everything is pretty to the point, well broken down with fresh examples and put into short digestible lessons.
