The Kallax unit that you’re afraid might get wet I’ve got 2 ideas. One, put the unit on wheels and set them to lock so you don’t have to worry about it rolling. It will sit up off the ground a good distance. Two, sit the unit on cinder blocks or bricks. You can wrap them in colorful fabric or whatever you like and make sure to attach the unit to the wall. It would leave you a bit of storage space for things you don’t care about getting wet. Just a thought. Thanks for sharing!

Wow!! Having to showcase your space certainly gave you the incentive that you needed to clean up the space & re-find all those things you didn't realise you had or things you had lost, it must have felt like Christmas finding some of your old treasures. I had to chuckle when I saw all the erasers. I own one & it sits on my table in front of me along with my pencil sharpener & is always on hand as I use pencils to write with as I am getting more dyslexic the older I get. I did lose my bone folder about 3 or 4 months ago & looked everywhere & so had to buy a new one & then my old one turned up, I hadn't lost it in the garbage bin after all but had put it in my drawer with all the rest of the things that go in there & couldn't see for looking - well it is a bit cluttered these days but I have no where else to keep them & the drawer unit seems to be shrinking on me!! 🤣

The purging was easy this time around. I do purge every year but this was a major one. First I always make a donation basket to one of my local charities. Second, a friends granddaughter is just starting out and she’s on a limited budget so I gave her most of my stuff. I did sell a few items but really it’s all about the mindset. I was ready to let go of things and she was so so happy. I know my older supplies went to a good home. The white bins are from ikea. 😊
Thanks for sharing your space and I'm interested to know if you store your thin cuts and stamps together or if you separate them?

Julie, you are so brave to share your crafting space before you cleaned it up. Are all your labels done with vinyl? Do you use permanent/temporary or HTV if you use vinyl for labels. You room is lovely. Small spaces can be cozy and focused. :). Thanks for sharing!
@JulieCarriere_TheScrapZone
Жыл бұрын
Well let’s face it a crafty space can get messy. And I thought it was important to be real, this clean up took over a month so now I want to keep it this way. I used both vinyl for the plastic bins and HTV for the small black binders. I do have a video on how I did those. 😊
Hi Julie, I love your organization. My big dilemma is organizing my space but then having to pack for a crop. What do you keep in that crop bag that is under your desk! It’s such a pain coming home and having to put everything away. I did manage to make a cardstock bin for crops with 4-5 pieces of each color…but not sure what to do for the rest of my supplies that I bring that I use all the time. Any suggestions?
@JulieCarriere_TheScrapZone
Жыл бұрын
Tough question. I keep my extension cords, my travel lights, I got smaller blending brushes and a bag of cardstock colors. When I pack for crops I pack only the projects I’m working on. An easier one for the first night like cards or finishing a layout. If I have a bigger projects I keep that for Saturday and Sunday. There is no right or wrong way. I just try to keep it small and manageable 🤣
Awesome video. Great organization. I am sure use some of these great ideas. I wanted to ask a couple of questions..where can I get the acrylic container that you used for the sticklers, and where and what font did you use to do your labels? Lol I have one set of those 2 drawers they fit in the Kallax and I was surprised at one flimsy the bottom is. I was hoping to store my punches in them but there’s no way. I like how you store your ribbon in one of yours. What are you using to keep them all corralled? Are they in some kind of plastic container? Also, the cubbie with the 9 clear plastic bins that hold CTMH 3x3 bags. Is that something I can get at IKEA?
