It was refreshing to find a video where furniture one has on hand and is used or repurposed for the craft room. So many videos show storage shelving and containers all from IKEA. All white looks great but not all of us can afford this and need inspiration for less expensive ideas. I was lucky to find a huge armoire for free to hold 1/2 of all my stash and keeps it all tidy and I can close the doors when I dont need to see it all. Thanks for sharing and I am inspired to reorganize a few more corners and shelves in my craft space.

I just recently took over my son’s room he move out 6 years ago and I couldn’t bring myself to do anything to his room he is my only child but as my craft corner space was getting very crowded 😮 it was time to make his room to a craft room and I have been enjoying watching other crafter’s idea’s on how to organize and store their crafty treasures 🥰love love your craft room ❤hugs from Cali

I also have a drafting table that I use as my cutting/craft table. It is the perfect height for standing at without getting a backache from bending over too much. I sewed a curtain for the front. That way I can store some of my sewing books, etc. under the table without it looking messy. My husband had gotten some of these tables from work to use as workbenches in the garage. When I saw them, I knew I had to have one for my sewing room. He also got me two office chairs, one for my sewing machine table and a higher one for my cutting table. I love it!

Anna, I has such a great time visiting you and your lovely work palace. YOU my friend are very organized I love it. In Oct of this year it will be a year I had a Craft Cottage built in my backyard 16 x 24 and I ALMOST needed more space, but can add on someday if I wish., I will put it up soon. Thank you! :) I do have a nice stash of steel dies - I was on the Sizzix DT for a while, so that was a nice way to get them at that time, and I still have some of my old favorites. I do have a problem w/ paper tho... seriously, what makes it so irresistible! Haa!

Alan picked up that table from a govt office auction.... and it's AWESOME! The lower part of the table is beautiful oak, and it's a wonderful size for crafting... as you know! :)

Hi Becca! Yes, we still have the animals ... most of them are still at the farm in TX as we still have that property as well. I do have some chickens here with me, 2 ducks, and Lollie the rabbit. I gave many of my chickens to friends before the move, so the birds didn't have to be transported (and so I didn't have to pay to have them tested, like is required when transporting them to a new state). We eventually will sell some of the farm animals, as moving them halfway across the country would be very hard on them.

Hi Maureen! Thank you for watching and taking time to comment -- I appreciate it! The first holder I show, which is a little wooden spinner w/ several compartments is from Hobby Lobby, in the unfinished wood section of the store. I just covered it w/ patterned paper. The second one I show, which is the clear acrylic holder I purchased at a used retail display / second hand type of store in Portland Oregon. I think it was a point-of-purchase display that may have been used to sell pens, or reading glasses, or something. I've never seen another one exactly like it, but there are similar ones listed on ebay if you search for words like acrylic display, retail pen display, etc... you've just got to search around the listings to see what kinds of words are being used on similar item listings. Hope that helps... :)

Thanks!! I got the clear containers at various places.... look at places like marshalls, tjmaxx, ross, tuesday morning for discount prices, or at container store or bed/bath/beyond for full-price prices :)

Hi Pam- I use retail display units for comic storage. They used to be more readily available than they seem to be now.

We did, yes. And yes, we have animals here too - the goats, chickens, dogs, cats... and lots of wildlife!

Gavi S ShinHan markers are alcohol markers, like Copics. The new version (which are the white barrel pens) of the markers are refillable, have the brush and chisel ends, and work just like Copics. There aren't as many colors as Copics offer, but I find it so easy just to fill in any gaps in colors w/ Copics. I do this w/ some of the skin tones I like to use. ShinHan markers are less expensive than Copics, and can be found online at shops like DickBlick, Amazon, MarkerPop, and I think Cheap Art Joe's. I had my Copics before the new version of the ShinHan markers were available, which is why I have quite a mix of pens. :)

Big dog in the little dog bed.... she's a nutso. She even tries to wedge herself into the even SMALLER bed, which is just hysterical! :)
