I had to incorporate my friends' crafting items into mine. She passed away last year and her daughter generously gave me many of her craft supplies. I did a craft room overhaul for the very first time. Not only did I organize and label, but I also created an inventory list in Excel. I didn't go wild and list every button, chenille stem or felt sheets, but I did create a list I can sort naming items and their location. This has made my life so much easier!

A great solution to keeping the vinyl rolls tidy is use those *WRIST SLAP BRACELETS* then put them in whatever bin or shelf you keep them in! Thanks for the tour! Loved it!

I love your craft room. Some look so beautiful that I wouldn't be able to craft in it as I would be afraid to mess it up. I am a hoarder of crafts although mine are all organized and labelled. I use many of the same things that you do, so great mines do think alike. LOL. Loved this video.

I do a lot of organizing by covering free boxes with contact paper, or even using Mod Podge with pretty wrapping or tissue paper for storing seasonal decor. When possible, I use see-through bins. I like that you use bins with straight, squared sides--far more efficient than round bins. Congratulations on the new, beautiful space.

Although my dream version of myself would have a perfectly coordinated, Pinterest perfect craft space . . . I definitely relate a lot more to your approach for craft organization! I recently organized my craft space and I realized that what makes sense for me is probably totally different than what works for someone else. As long as I can find everything and everything has a place, that works. Thank you for keeping it real and reminding us that we can make what we have work.

LOVE your ideas on storage and I totally need to do this, but it means EVERYTHING has to come out so I can have a wall of shelves put in ;) hubby retires in April, which means I will be getting his help ;) I am sure you go through markers, pens & the like faster than I, but if you store them tip down, it helps with the flow

"Items to sort" and "completed items" are probably the most genius ideas I've ever seen..def stealing those ideas! I have decluttered and reorganized so many times for "the look" and now it's more for "the use" like yours and I love it, best configuration ever!! I also downsized over 300 rolls of ribbon on the thin cardboard things from Amazon...don't notice any creases in the ribbon but def notice all the extra space😉Hope you enjoy the new home and craft room for years to come.. so happy for you💃🏾Tyfs❤🙏🏾

Girl! I had the same issue! I wanted my room organized but I was just piling stuff on top of stuff. Finally I have it organized! I’m still not 100% happy with it but I will get there!

Hi Whitney, Here's a hack for you. Instead of using paper plates for paint try a kool-whip tub lid for paint puddles. When the paint is dry, it just peels off and the lid can be used over and over. I used to use coffee can lids too. ✌️💜🧶

Whitney, I'm jealous of your craft room! We bought a new home and moved in July 2021. It's only a 3 bed 3 bath, and it has a 6 car garage. So I really didn't want this house because price was much higher than I thought we should spend. And it's way out in the country. I have never lived anywhere except right in town all of my 55 years of life. But you can imagine a guy wanting this 6 car garage, well that was my hubby. So he promised I would get a spot in that garage to craft or there also is a huge room in the house called a sunroom. So if I didn't get a spot in garage I get almost all the sunroom. Well I can tell you I did NOT get any part of that garage. Because my hubby and our 37 year old son who has always lived with us the 2 of them claimed the whole garage! And that sunroom that son I said lives with us well he has 2 kids that are here alot. Well they the back 1/3rd of that room. I got enough room for my table to craft on and a 12 cubed shelf and that's it. Oh and a linen closet we didn't need I have that. But then like you said I buy more of certain items because I cannot find where they are in my stuff. Sorry this is so long. You don't have to read it. But I should tell you I have told my son if he doesn't becareful his butt will be out!! So now I'm looking for a girlfriend for him that has her own place!! Once gone he is not coming back to stay only visit and go to his own home not mine!! Lol

It is not big and has built ins that I have never been fond of. Girl I feel the pain!! My craft area is a mess.

Wow Girl you been busy, great ideas as usual. I am currently over whelmed with my craft room i am also packing some stuff up to move to a new house in the country. in the spring which is exciting. I really do a lot of crafts sewing, beading, hair accessories, kids crafts with my Grand Daughters when they come visit, i also do wire wrapping jewelry, i have my Cricut explore air 2, and lots of supplies for my wood crafts, peel and stick rolls of marble contact paper for décor pieces Card stock, printer paper photo quality paper scrap booking supplies stickers, photo albums photos that i have to put in photo albums. family tree information i have to put on my computer, florals. Omg i have so much to do just in my craft room then i have the rest of the house to pack up before i can stage my house to sell. Wish me luck! The snack drawer is a must have when crafting my biggest thing is chocolate if i don't have chocolate i am one cranky lady. You have been really busy now for mine yikes.

Hey Whit! I just loved watching the real “this is what I did to organize and I didn’t spend an arm and a leg” video. This was such a realistic design and I appreciated that! My husband and I have 5 boys and I have a space in our bedroom where I craft. I mostly make cards. My favorite are specialty cards, fun folds and cards that hold candy for birthday’s and celebrations. My space is small and I need to do go through and have a throw away, donate, goes to the garage pile etc. Thank you for sharing your craft room tour! I enjoyed it Immensely! 😺

Thanks for sharing, I love it! I don't have space for a craft room, so I turned the spare room (for the grandkids) mini walk in closet my space. I call it Jeni's craft cave. It's 5'-x4-1/2' and I've managed to cram an Ikea desk in there too. I can't believe how much I've fit into my space. I love sitting in there, it makes me happy.
