Craft Room DECLUTTER // 5 steps to declutter your home + tips on best declutter practices

Time for the dreaded craft room declutter! This is part ONE in my craft room redesign, and I am decluttering every shelf and drawer to get ready for the new space. My craft room is actually our dining "room" (if you can all it that), and it is open to our living space so organization and managing clutter is key! I will be sharing the steps I use when decluttering any space, and all of my tips for purging items! We are all guilty of overbuying for our hobbies (especially us paper crafters), and mine has gotten out of control. I have craft supplies I haven't touched in YEARS! If you are in the same place and don't know where to start join me in decluttering our homes and our minds! Thank you so much for watching!

Love the idea of going through your scrapbook papers and taking out the designs you like! That's what I'm going to do as well! Genius!!

Decluttering definitely isn't fun, and takes some time to feel easy. You just have to find the process that works best for you. These steps help make my process easier :)

I also go through paper pads and get rid of the papers I don't like. An idea if they are one-sided is to make envelopes with them. Very good explanations too!

1:01 I think that’s what I should start with and then place them wer they go I have bins for Halloween,Christmas, vday, spring and jj stuff 🤦🏻‍♀️ oh Lord help me lol… My space is gonna be a corner of the living room, I love the ikea look. But I want to get a tool bench from 🤔 I can’t think of the name, but I plan to add to the peg board for the useful handy things , I also do have some great furniture pieces for holding/storing the craft items, but it being in the living room ikea would be much nicer. Okay I need to really watch this video, I think this will be helpful, tfs

Wow ok 1st This is the first video organization craft wise that I have seen that has crafts and they're dining room area in their Apartment.so my situation basically is a round your situation. My craft things are in my dining room. I have a little tiny craft nook? My. Closet I have been granted a garage? However that being said differentiating between what goes out to the garage? What can stay inside other than the humidity factors? That's a given those things have to stay inside the apartment. I had two very tall shelves that I got from target until My husband took over 2 of those shelves and made an entertainment center. So now I'm trying to scramble and find places to put all my craft things, That are now just scattered around my dining room area filtered into my living room. So if you happen to be around South Carolina id love some help doing what you just did please! You made it look simple and easy, wishfull thinking i know. You have done such an amazing job and making your dining room area. Look so organized and tasteful. I hope that I have the same outcome as you have and following the steps. Thank you so much for sharing if anybody has any Additional advice for me in my issue those are welcome with prayers for strength....

Thank you so much for your kind words. I wish I was able to come help everyone that wanted it, but I am all the way in California so definitely not a possibility. You can do it though! Start small and think about how you want to use the space. Having your craft space out in the open is challenging because it has to be organized well, but craft supplies are beautiful so lean into that. Find functional organizing systems that display your items in a clean way!
