Rares do not cost less to upgrade at the Smith. Upgrade cost is based on the number of upgrades already on the item and upgrading an item via imprinting an aspect allows for a 4th upgrade at smith where rares can only have 3 upgrades. As a rare or legendary, upgrades 1 to 3 cost the same, progressively more each time and a 4th upgrade costs quite a bit, typically in the 100k+ range You are correct about 'enchanting' an item to reroll a mod at the occultist though, it takes a 'fiend rose' or some other item that we cant get in the beta (found in helltide events iirc)

Unfortunately, I missed most of the days, I was only able to play it for two days... I'm biting my fingers for this, since I've seen this game born, I've never been able to say anything at the beginning, about the game, of what I thought. Now I can say that, from the very beginning I had noticed a fighting style, although initially very rudimentary but it already showed how it would be in the future. Now that I've seen it "assembled" with a story, music, graphics "and all the textures..." as well as an excellent series of complete translations into various languages, I can say that I love it. Knowing Blizzard there will be many changes, dictated by the high number of feedb. and this will lead this game to become, I'm sure, GREAT.

Keep up the good work.A lot of things explained... i would love to find 2 same items and to upgrade 1 rare and than extrack legendary and other extract legendary and than upgrade to see if there is diffrence. Also i saw somewhere that some legendary powers increase or decrease item level , so if you got high level legendary aspec it might cause your item to higher level which can be higher than your level and you cant wear it.

Nice video, nice guide, i am gonna tell you something too, rare stuff have not " +1 level on skill " i think this Is huge buff even if legendary Power is not a goodroll, suppose i need to do some test in to It, but last beta i had Hydra on sorcer at grade 7 and deal massive dps so this beta i'll try the same with necromancer. nice video, just one thing i was wondering, after you upgrade it i see its still on low lvl, lvl 4, is'nt that bad ? i mean will it not be better with a higher lvl gear?

I am your 1000th thumbs up so now you owe me a psvr 2 set. ;) By the way, did you know that on level 16 stats on gear gets better and sometimes doubled? I saw a KZreadr talking about it. For example: if a gear item between level 1-15, gives you 1 rank on a ability, on level 16 this same item has the possibility of having an extra rank, making it two points. This means the level on gear does matter and it seems like there are hidden level caps when it comes down to gear. With this in mind, I wonder how level 70-100 gear will be.

Question, let's say I'm looking for ranks of a specific ability or skill like more ranks in chain lightning. Are all the skill available to add to our gear or just some?

The weapon in your video didn't double-roll vulnerable damage; each weapon type has an inherent buff up top just under the DPS--for crossbow it is vulnerable damage. Gloves don't have a decreased value to aspects, they just don't have an increased value to the aspect.

Question: Yes we can extract the aspect, but i find it hard to let go of my level 22 Armor with +8 on all stats compared to another higher level armor without it, should i always focus on the number being green when i replace the armor? so regardless if the higher level armor doesnt have +8 on all stats, it is still the better one? Because if thats the case, i will end up with a build filled with high level yellows instead of full low level legendaries. Thanks

does the rare give the same increase in stats as the legendary only cheaper or does the legendary give more stats at blacksmith if you make it legendary first?

So i got a legendary necklace drop at level 32 that increases basic attack by 33%. Will there be a way to always use the necklace as I progress through the game and it scale well or will I need something with more item power later on?

I have a problem... i upgraded a rare weapon 2 times and an imprint after that. Now, every time i want to imprint a god damn rare weapon (non upgraded), it ask for Baleful Fragments!!!... wich are very difficult to get... Maybe it's not a good ideia to upgrade a rare before imprinting it... or my game just bugged out. Anyone? Please help

I would have never put the thought into doing this type of stuff before. I'm usually just see green or red and equip. Seems pretty simple now that it is explained. Should make the game more enjoyable now that I can put a little more thought into things and keep an eye out for stats -- THANKS!

It seems to me that for weapons and armor, you should continue using whatever is green until you reach endgame. If you spend a bunch of gold enhancing weapons and armor before then, no matter how awesome the stats you craft, it will become obsolete within a few levels when you just need more raw dps or armor. That's my humble understanding. I hope someone can correct me with a clear explanation.

The downside with this is you will lose 1 affix from a legendary item. Converted legendaties will only have 3 affixes compared to 4 affixes from an original legendary. Although, you won't extract an aspect in the first place if that legendaries have good stats. This is a good strategy to get good items but not that most optimum. There is a way to change stats on original legendaries but not available in the beta yet. Change the aspect and affix that you don't like boom much better. retained the 4th affix.

I put a codex of power on a good weapon and now I cant put it on my new weapon because I need baleful fragments, so be careful what you’re putting them on even if it can be taken off.

is that just a tooltip glitch in the roll possibility after you imprinted?

I do love being able to put lege affixed on rare gear. Wish there was a way to increase the level of gear, but maybe I missed if that is a thing.

I'm wondering exactly the same thing and no one seems to talk about it. Is it worth to transfer legendary aspect into rare gear before max level ?? (maybe they are doing it cause its the beta and max is 25??). I saw that you can upgrade gear up to 3 or 4 times in the blacksmith (like in the vid, he did it once) and it can give 20 level max or something, so i guess its not worth at lower level if thats the only way to level up gear, right?

@Théo SH yeah, I made the mistake of throwing a lege affix on a rare item, but regretted it when I know better gear would drop soon. Wish I could take imprints off again, maybe for an increased cost each time. I hate my luck, especially with so much rng for drops.

I just wished that when you upgraded an item at the blacksmith that it would upgrade the item power higher. Right now upgrading 1 time increases the item power by 5. The issue is that you can find that easily at your same level. It would be better if it upgraded it maybe by 20 points so the weapon lasts longer until you find another.

That would be awful… you’d be able to take the first drop and upgrade it and never find a drop better until the next tier. You’d never need to have drops. It’s a small increment because it’s for min-max at the end game, not for leveling.

@@SuspenseGames thats a little exagerated dont you think, next tier. 5 item power each upgrade is super low, why even upgrade it? 3 minutes later you can find a weapon that will be the same amount as your newly upgraded weapon. I found weapons with an item power level difference 20 to 30 points in my same character level.

Hi Moxsy Have You Ever Heard of Last Epoch and Could You Play It Sometimes. The Game is on Steam and It's Like Diablo II & III or Path of Exile Thank You.

I wasted so many good items, I thought waiting for T3 to worry about this was okay, I need to start double checking my yellows I guess.

Do the same legendary effects stack? for example, the same legendary aspect has been extracted and now I put one on my 2 handed weapon and another one on an amulet. Will I get the same benefit twice? or is it unique and only applies once

This is pretty cool. It looks like imprinted rares that become legendaries can still only have 3 passives so a natural rolled legendary or a legendary that's been imprinted will be better if it has better stats but this works until you get that. I was curious how this system worked and couldn't get the materials in time to try it.

The system is almost like what they have in Diablo Immortal. What I don't currently see implemented here is upgrading your weapon to a higher power level by sacrificing a higher level item.

I have a question please, for you or anyone out there. After putting an imprint at the lowest roll, is it possible to improve the roll somehow? Eg, If you imprint an aspect and its range is 1-4 and it defaults to 1 on the imprinted item, is there a way to get the number higher at all to say a 3 or 4 for example? Thank you in advance!! No. At least it wasn't in the beta at all. I think they want you to farm Legendries for the higher rolls just to keep them viable. Just keep in mind, affixes you get from Legendries can only be applied once and can not be removed again.

Got a ring legendary with the effect being if a storm skill crits it adds a buff aura on me that spams strong lightning strikes on enemies near me and now I just walk around throw an earth basic out to get a crit chance buff from another Lego and then hit tornado or hurricane or w.e and I just start raining strong lightning spamming lol. Super good w the ultimate lucky hit too

Watching people that have UI and be able to do all this is nuts. I had no UI, no mini map, No nothing, Had to guess and use photos off the internet in order to use skill points. Hope that gets fixed.

You have to turn it on in the Options Screen under gameplay

I don't think i'm going to even attempt to log in at midnight tonight...

The REAL question here is, is it worth it to do stuff like this while we are leveling during the actual release? Is it better to keep resources for later? Maybe just making normal gear with good rolls legendaries from the codex is just.. good enough while leveling, and keep the actual legendaries for later? Those are questions worth answering.
