These are so nice Amber, I have a ton of compositions books I got over the year and been doing the journals for friends and fairs. But like most things you take them out for a while and bring them back smiles TFS

Tfs. I will be shopping for comp books now. What a great idea for those larger printed paper's. Now I have a use for them. I really enjoy watching and learning all your creative ideas. I will be watching for the next one :)

I have so many if those full scrapbook sheets and have not known what to do with them. This is a great idea. I also have several spiral bound composition books. Probably will not look as polished but I am going to try it on one of those. Thanks for sharing your ideas and the videos. I always enjoy them!

I had one of the cheaper Fiskars paper trimmers since I started paper crafting. I have HATED it! It never seems to get a straight line, and the extended ruler is really hard to read and not quite lined up with the rest of the trimmer. Last night, I finally ordered this paper trimmer, and I'm SO excited to try it out! Everyone I have seen with this version, has had great luck with it! So excited about this project! It's so easy!!! And everyone loves pretty notebooks!

Wow Amber! You knocked it out of the park with these! It is 6:30 am and I want to go beat on the door at Hobby Lobby to get that beautiful photo paper pad! I always buy composition books when they are 50 cents because I use them myself for journaling' so I am ready to go on this!! I will make them for gifts! one thing I found out was not to use the College ruled, but the wide ruled...they get mixed up at the stores when they're on clearance! :) Just beautiful Amber! Sandy

Amber I love these! I have some paper 12x12 that I was gonna do this project as well. Almost all paper pads come with those 12x12 full images but I never actually wanted those full images paper pads. I didn't want to have too many. But I love the way they look, you just made me add that Joanns paper to my next buy list from Joanns. I didn't want it before but now I do! They are lovely. Great papers. You might want to invest in a set of corner rounding punches. I have a set of four - a big curve like this, a small curve, a notched curve and a fancy one. Not expensive, but so useful!

Pam Holloway ...she has every corner rounder out there, She just doesnt use them for this because the notebook corners arent perfectly rounded and each one is a little different. She wanted the paper to match up perfecty, so she did it this way.

If you are selling them I suggest cutting 5 tabs for them to put wherever they want as well out of the scrap paper. ;Great easy idea.

Since these are just a bit over 6 inches wide, you could get 2 from a 12x12 inch paper if you add a narrow strip of coordinating paper between the black binding and your gorgeous paper. I don’t think it would detract from the look you are going for, and you could definitely save paper. Just a thought.

I stopped in at Target this morning and, guess what?!?!?! Their composition notebooks with 100 pages were $.05 each. Yep, I bought 10 of them for $.50 total. Crazy. So, I'm all set to make these for my craft fair! :-)

Deb, I was about to say the same thing. I went to Target this morning & couldn't believe the price! Another woman was looking at them & she told me that she scanned them & they were .05. I had to scan them myself because I couldn't believe it! I bought a bunch! Yay for us!!!

I had them scanned, because the shelf label said $17.99 ?! The lady said, They are Coming up as $.05. I said "Really, $.05?!" So I grabbed 10 of them. Maybe should have gotten more. lol

I had to learn the weights of paper and card stock paper ...because I was buying card stock paper ...that didn’t say it was card stock weight. But what I had wanted was regular typing paper.......when they are wrapped in plastic you can,t tell weight. I

I make these only thing I do different is I use score tape stronger to hold on. I measure like you and place on comp book and use crocodile on corners.

Cynthia Calvert -Wet glue will dry all the way down and nothing will catch when sliding into the pocket. (Tape runners stay tacky)

Cynthia Calvert Thank you so much for subbing! Yep...what Bri says is right! The tape runner will sometimes obstruct the items you put in the pocket and things can get stuck, whereas wet glue dries completely. :) Amber

If you don't mind sharing, how much do you plan to price them? Been making journals like these for a couple of years now but I'm with you that it's best to keep it simple when making so many because it can get time consuming if you want to add extras. Tfs your projects as always.

Hi Amber, I was wondering if you know the best way to find the paper pads? I found the company DCWV but couldn't find the paper. I especially like the Newsworthy pad of paper. Do you know who makes that paper? Is some of the paper from old releases? I love your ideas and these books are so easy to work on. Thank you

Kathi, you can get the Newsworthy at Hobby Lobby. They have them online & on sale. There are also similar ones that look very pretty. Tuesday Morning sometimes has the DCWV paper pads. Also check scrapbook.com for some. The Desert Dream paper is from Michaels. You can sometimes get those Hot Buy paper pads for $5.00 on sale. Hope that helps!
