I love the nomads. I spend hours watching on KZread. I love how Carol exposed how some of our seniors are treated! I love how Bob encourages us. If you have an unfortunate situation and you lose your dwelling he tells us the steps to take and what not to do! He lets you know you can make it!

You nailed it! Carol shouts out to her subscribers by name. She shows up every Saturday, no matter how hard it has been, for her live streams. Her wonderful attitude spills out into her audience and inspires them to join in and build community. Both you and Carol offer much needed positive examples of what life can be after 60. I agree that constant learning is key, as well.

Thank both of you for this interview. I really enjoyed it. I was Carol's 69th sub! I gave her the first shout out she had, even though I had a tiny channel and couldn't help her very much, because I knew she was going to be a success. My channel name is Plain Vanilla Grandma. I started it because my therapist told me I needed socialization and this was the method I chose. I am almost 70 and I know there are many people my age that need a friend. I want my channel to feel like you are visiting with a friend. ❤

Really appreciated this discussion and information. Very kind of both of you. My vision was, after a 30 yr struggle with food addiction and obesity to share with my viewers what worked for me to maintain a 100 in weight reduction. I watched my mom die as a young girl of obesity related illness and wanted to do what I could to prevent others from that tragic young ending. First channel was insight and intuition, and now Jo Jo’s joyful journey, and how I keep abstinent on the road. The obstacle I’ve had was believing in myself with consistency. Trusting I have some thing, unique and worthwhile to share. I came from a severely critical background and sometimes I still struggle with the critical voice I internalized as a child. Other challenge is attention deficit, and though I am a very disciplined woman, with regard to my food, sleep, exercise, meditation, etc. I had not yet developed that consistency with my channel. Thanks again for your kindness and support. Jojo stay healthy!

Thanks for giving Carol the exposure! I subscribed to this channel a couple years ago when I bought a 25" travel trailer. Not a nomad, but I respect the niche. God bless Carol, such a genuine individual. I don't plan to do a KZread channel but watching the Spoondrifters channel and the loss of their 16 year-old daughter this week. I am considering a video diary. I wish I had more videos of those that have passed on. It could be the first KZread channel that didn't seek likes and subsctibers!!!

Thank you, thank you, thank you! This video is very inspiring! I started a KZread channel a couple of months ago at age 58 after being pushed out of my job. I have had some success but I believe my topic is too broad and likely not sustainable. As you mentioned, 'Know Your Audience'. Meeting the 1000 subscribers, 4000 watch hours (not views) in a 365-day period required to apply for KZread monetization is a challenge. I will be making adjustments to the channel. Also, thank you for the offer to share channels and connect to your community. I will do that once I feel my channel has a clearer direction. I have been dreaming of joining the wonderful community all of You have created. But first, I have to have an income. ❤❤

Ive been planning my nomad adventure for years and it's finally becoming reality. One of my goals has been to start a KZread channel and help others see the possibility of starting their own adventure, whatever that is and whatever their age. I'm just very intimidated by the technology and how to do it.

Thank you Carol. I watch KZread videos like this for all 3 reasons you mentioned! There are months in my life that I come in contact with no more than 15 people. Now mind you I’m 1 year away from being 62 and just am wanting to meet like minded folks. I bought a older van this year and trying to get it ready to try to visit this great land. I’ve watched your videos and have been inspired along with others in the KZread world. Yes Bob’s too! Thank you and I do hope someday I can travel far enough away from where I feel comfortable so I may see you and say hi!

I subscribe to glorious life on wheels! But it was Bob Wells and his first episode on Box Van Dee that got me started on watching and got interested on watching van life! And Bob Wells is the GOAT of van life!

Bob and Carol, Thanks for sharing those words of wisdom about learning how to do You Tube Videos for success. Which classes or programs have you viewers and You Tubers found easiest to learn from? I'm inspired to look into this when I go full time! My house is listed, my Roadtrek is for sale, and I'll be upgrading to a Class C in the near future. See you on the road!

Very inspirational! We have been growing our YT channel for about 4.5 years...and the friendships we have made are the BEST part 😀 We practice most of everything Carol and Bob talked about. And we are always looking to learn. Great video!

This was really informative and I’m working on my adventure. I won’t renew my lease at my apartment because it doesn’t make sense to me to spend over $900 per month for something I’ll never own. I’m 65 years old and have been watching KZread videos for about 4 years now and will start my Nomad life next year. I’ve been subscribed to both of your channels and quite a few others. I love people and find it very easy to talk with them so I am considering starting a channel but I need to do a bit more study and research. What I love about this community is that it’s family. Everyone encourages and helps each other. It’s the humanity and down to earth feeling of it all. Thank you so much for this. ❤️
