I've had a Master combination lock sitting in a drawer in my garage for over 20 years unused because I lost the combination. I couldn't bring myself to get rid of it, always holding out hope that I'd find the combination for it someday. Just for kicks, I gave your process a shot and it worked! It made my day! :)

it's actually smart for breaking in as long as you have time to do it. people will notice when the locks been cut it's pretty obvious but when you have the combo no one will know.

your missing the point. Its not practical for B&E . Not that i am a thief i have had to cut many of my own locks cause i lost the key, and this just isn't practical.

Thank you! It works! I have this set of 4 locks and I forgot the combination. Once I wrote those two rows of numbers, the right ones just popped out from the memory. So, if you just forgot the combination, there is no need to try all the possible combinations. It took me like three minutes to do the job. Thank you, again!

It worked!! Thank you for the video! This was the easiest and most straightforward video out of all the ones I've seen regarding locker combinations. I roughly remembered the numbers of my combination but didnt know them exactly so figuring out the first two numbers only took like 2 minutes. Anywho... Thanks again.

It is super easy.. Just takes some time b/c of the fact that you still have some guess work to it.

It worked, 1st time I accidentally picked a non-whole number because I wasn't watching the movement, but 2nd time I got the 3rd number correctly, then made a list of 1st and 2nd numbers using the algorithm. My jaw dropped when about half way through it opened. Saved a combo lock I was going to toss - thanks - very valuable

Bought a funky wooden ballot box for $1 at a yard sale last summer. It was only $1 because the guy couldn't remember his combo and open the box. Nothing special in it - just pencils - but I thought it would be cool to have a ballot box. Had no idea how to open the lock, so I fiddled with a bit; no luck. Put it in the basement for a while. Brought it back upstairs yesterday. Today I looked online. I've tried a bunch of different videos and had a lot of trouble, but certain #s on the dial kept sticking with each method. With yours, I *finally* got this thing open. Neat!

I used the 5th # from the bottom as in this ex. since I didn't have any zeros. Which was 26 the rest worked out, and became 6-36-26, awesome cool. It's just some 10+ year old lock I found in a drawer but hey now I got a free lock! Thanks Camalo171.

Not sure if anyone cares but i was just able to use this method to figure out the combo to a lock i hadn't used in like 10 years. It seriously helped! I'm pretty surprised. Thanks a lot, man!

Great video. It was easier to understand and try then some of the other ones. The reason the numbers are divided by 4 is that on a MasterLock, you only have to get close to the actual number, basically within 2 units. Dividing by 26 by 4 gives you a remainder of 2, so your first number choices are 2, 6, 10, 14, 18, 22, 26, 30, 34, & 38. All those numbers are within 2 of every number. What a fantastic algorithm... Thanks, I got a lock open that I lost the combination to year ago.

I can't believe this actually worked! It opened on the 62nd combination I tried. It probably took about 20-30 minutes but that's better than driving down to a store and buying a new one. I don't know how you ever came up with that trick, but THANKS!!

Worked for me! Thanks! For those saying it doesn't work, masterlock periodically changes the algorithm since these vids have shown up. I would imagine certain serial numbers have certain algorithms at this point.

Great video. I was dubious and of course it was the very last set of numbers I tried but it worked! Old school locker lock opened for another life.

I don't see why everyone is saying it's hard. It's REALLY easy, it just takes time. But luckily for me, my first number was 1 so it didn't take that long. I tried this last year too and I came back to it because I forgot how to do it. Thanks for uploading this:)

Another trick that works is to take the regurgitated food from a baby cyclops perigrene falcon from Madagascar and mix it into the side of the lock cylinder that has the little side hasp on it. You can get this pre-mix in your local Tru-Value hardware stores and Home Centers. Then wait about 3:78 and the remuse from the infected particle generator. When the lock pin dissolves, eat a piece of your favorite pop tart and spit the remaining juice into the other side of the lock and presto! Works every time and has never failed me so far! Although I could be wrong.........Good luck!

"shim" (not using a pop can unless you're into stiches and blood) them and throw your locks into the trash can. Buy a keyed lock. Not much better, but at least the theif will have to pick the lock.

Thank you. Solved two locks that have been sitting useless for years.

I tried many videos. This one worked for me!!!!! It worked because it wasn't about feel but about just numbers. It took me hours failing with other videos. With this video I had the list of numbers to try in minutes. Took 30 minutes to go thru all the number combinations. 10 first numbers, 10 second numbers, and I had the last number. My combo was the LAST number of the first set of 10 and the sixth number of the second set of 10. I got it on the 96th try out of 100! I was giving up hope! I learned one trick that sped up checking the combinations. The trick is that you can check the second and third numbers without going back and putting in the first number. But you have to check them in numerical order. For example you can check 12-20-16 and then rather than starting over with 12-24-16 you can just go to 24-16, then 28-16, etc. This really speeds it up. other videos show this trick. Thanks!!!!

The best part about this system is the discovery of the last number. The explanation was super easy.

HOLY HELL! I am at work and have a combination lock at home. Using this formulation, it exactly works for my combination. I now have to try this at the local Walmart for fun and prizes. But the math DOES WORK on my lock. That's crazy fascinating to me. Nicely played, Sir!!!

This worked. I tried MANY videos but this one actually worked when I combined it with another video of a woman asking to find a “resistance” number as the first number. If you put slight tension and circle around clock wise you come to a number that will always make you stop. That’s your 1st number. Then using his method I found the third number... I used his method to find the lists and from the list of second numbers I reasoned that the second number had to be larger than the third number so as to not go past zero again. So using his lists you could rule that in the second list 1-25 wouldn’t work. The only options for the second number were 29,33,37 really.

Instructions too simple, unlocked all the locks in the city...

It worked! All i needed was to see the numbers and go back to what I was familiar with and boom. Took longer to watch the video.

Works very well. Took me 64 attempts before I got the correct sequence. If I started at the other end it would have only been 36. Now I need to find more locks to decode.

Thank you, It work for me I solved it on my 97th try. I started with the large numbers for the first and small for the second. but the combo was 2-28-2 I only had 2-32-2 and 2-36-2 to go but it opened on 2-28-2.Good trick!!

This worked for me! I found an old Master combination lock in the woods behind my house and was able to open it using this method. Just be patient :)

Apparently most of the people who forgot their combos didn't pass 3rd grade math. Thanks for this video. It saved me from having to buy a new lock (I filed the serial number off of the back for security... LOL now I know anyone can use this to find the combo but it's only for the gym lockers anyway and someone standing there trying 100 combinations would probably get funny looks.

A common thing with Master Locks is that two of the numbers sometimes have the same ending digit. In your case it was 37 and 27. Starting with numbers that have the same ending digit helps narrow down the number of combinations.

Found an old master lock I lost the combo to 25 years ago. Did this procedure and got the combo in 15 minutes! I was lucky that it was one of the first 20 or so combinations.

KUDOS TO YOU! I tried all the "methods" from other vids and THIS was only one that worked. Only correction I'd make is in step one to find the number that doesn't fit a common pattern. Common pattern should be obvious. In my case my pattern numbers were 1, 4.5, 7.5. So I also had 11, 14.5, 17.5, and so on until the "odd" number appeared.

Hiw do you figure out the turns though? Its usually rught, left, right with two right turns at first but ppl have had 3 and ppl have had 4 numbers

you have x boxes, there hight it 4 in and your shelf is 27 in tall... how much boxes can u stack on top of each other equally in the shelf?
