It was overhyped

I liked all the singles, but sadly the only song off the album I liked as well was possession island. That track gave me a weird bittersweet feeling. Rest was really boring sadly. Most of the singles gave me a hype daft punk vibe. Wish the whole album was like that

in my personal opinion, it wasn't that it was just plain bad, but rather we had rather too big expectations for cracker island, be it from previous albums or advertising for cracker island. Damon is getting older with time, and having in mind that they've talked about passing gorillaz for a future generation makes me think he's losing energy and is gonna retire sooner or later. Until he retires, I wouldn't expect anything as good or impactful as any of Gorillaz's best albums. That's just me tho, so I hope I'm wrong and he suddenly drops a banger album out of thin air.

song machine was good though, it proved they've still got it

When I was younger, I wasn't really in to Gorillaz much, when I was kid l think I remember watching clint Eastwood and in highschool I loved feel good Inc. but I didn't really get in to their music until I was in my really early 20's (21-22 I think) but even then I noticed for a while now that there's a huge difference to what they once were to what they've become now, and yeah, they practically did change for worse. Also I hate that their influencers now considering how shitty of rep influencers rightfully get.

As someone who is first favorite band is gorillas, and his second favorite band is Weezer I would really love to see you make some Weezer related contact in addition to the gorillaz stuff.
