Pretty sure with iPhones, it’s holding the power button down. It got stuck, and automatically did it; you can see it was impossible to cancel even though it wasn’t being pressed down anymore.

This is actually normal bc in the settings, there is something called emergency SOS and there are options and one of them is “Call with 5 presses” and since he pressed it over 5 times, the emergency SOS thing happened.

If you dont know: When you spam click the power button most phones have it built-in to call emergency when you spam click the power button so its faster to call emergency if its serious and does not have time to waste going to the call app and calling the police manually.

You were way more lucky than my friend he accidentally called 911 and they thought he was lying that there was no emergency. So they sent an officer to them but he left bc there was no emergency. Idk the rest of the story but he got in legal trouble because of it.
