CRABBING with a fishing rod- Oregon Coast

Crabbing. In this video I make a run to the Oregon Coast for an overnighter. I found some time to hang out on the jetty and do some cxrabbing.

    Never heard of that kind of way to crab b4. Looks like fun. We hand line for crabs here In Maryland. We have blue crabs. Thanks for sharing 👍🏻

    I’ll bet hand lining is fun too! This is a different approach, but it’s pretty low key and fun. I do have a boat with crab pots that are really effective that I like to use. I’ll do another video of that maybe coming up. Thanks Chip

    That was a awesome video. My wife loves rock crab. Tavern close to us has big red rock crab claws once in a while and its one of her favorite things. If i lived close she'd have me out there all the time. Looks like alot of fun. Doesn't get any fresher than that. Was that your wife filming what is her name

    Showed my wife your video and she said shes had that and stone crab claws. She also informed me that i would be out there all the time catching crap for her lol. I told her the best i can do here in Indiana is catch her a mess of crawdads lol unless i take her to red lobster wouldn't be nier as fresh

    Yip no ocean in kansas. My dad was a river rat. Worked right beside the river. Spent many afternoons fishing the river and setting lines for flatheads. Your just an all around guy also. Well done.

    Hahahahaha, you’re right. You’re along ways from either coastline. I like the ocean, but I’m definitely more comfortable in the mountains, and high desert.

    It is a lot of fun. One of the benefits of living where I do I guess. I’m about 3-1/2 hours from the Ocean. There is way too many people on the west side of Oregon though. Lol. Thanks for watching Brent!

    My mother made some a few years ago, and they were great. I personally like the dungeoness better, but this area was all rock crabs. Thanks for watching Dan!

    Always freeze and save fish heads for crabbing, hate to waste good chicken. Probably more meat in that chicken leg, then all the crab you caught.

    I've been to 7 hawg callins and a county fair n aint never seen nothin like that ! That is cool ! Fellers gotta do some kind of trappin in the off season ! You did give your wife a bite ?
