Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is a license issued in 55 states or territories of the United States that authorizes the holder to practice as a CPA in that jurisdiction. CPA is the highest level of competence in the field of accountancy and is recognized throughout the world. The CPA license opens doors to an illustrious global career in the field of finance and accounting.
The American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) represents the CPA profession nationally regarding rule-making and standard-setting, and serves as an advocate before legislative bodies, public interest groups and other professional organizations. The AICPA develops standards for audits of private companies and other services by CPAs; provides educational guidance materials to its members; develops and grades the Uniform CPA Examination; and monitors and enforces compliance with the profession’s technical and ethical standards.

The #USCPA is a single level exam consisting of only 4 exams and can be completed in a 12 months timeline, as compared to other Indian qualifications where you have 20 exams across multiple levels and take numerous attempts to clear.

A university degree is mandatory in order to pursue CPA. Furthermore, the 4 CPA exams compliments a University Degree. So you complete your University Degree, start working and you can pursue your CPA even with a full time job.

The CPA exam consists of MCQs and Simulation which are computer graded. So, there is no ground for any bias - compared to Indian qualifications where you have to write lengthy comprehensive answers - which may be subject to bias.
