Oh my gosh, I LOVED The Warm Hands of Ghosts. It made me so emotional. KA wove an incredible story of hope and life, even in the face of the unspeakable. PTSD, grief, survival, the blurred lines between good and evil, and what it even means to be alive are all explored so thoughtfully and authentically. Absolutely mesmerizing.

It still feels like winter where I am lol. Food waste is a huge issue, especially in the US (and is a big contributor to our current climate crisis, along with things like fast fashion). I am currently reading The Warm Hands of Ghosts, myself. It is so good!

I loved Jacks in the Caraval series as well. I was so glad a Stephanie made a book about him.

Avid gardener here! Just make sure you fertilize those peppers, because the amount of space they have isn't ideal. The flowers you called begonias are geraniums ❤ and I am SO jealous, because here in CT it is waaaaaaaaaaaaay to early to plant flowers 😂

I need to not be lazy and boil my potatoes before I roast them because yum! I feel you on the unexpected dental stuff. I had my 3rd root canal in my life and for some reason this one was soooo much more painful than my last 2 and I was so unprepared because I basically needed to eat like my wisdom teeth were removed for a few days lol so had my husband out for instant mashed potatoes and oat milk ice cream at like 9am lol hope your jaw heals quickly!!

The Ballad of Never After was my favorite book of the trilogy. The ending alone was ripped right out of a classic CW show. 🫶🏻❤️😱

If you need more Katherine Arden in your life I love her middle grade horror series Small Spaces! I’ve only read the first one so far but it was so deliciously creepy and pretty scary for a middle grade! Highly recommend and I went out and bought the rest of the series!
