Cox River- Lidsdale & Marrangaroo Camp and 4wd explore weekend
In this 4wd and camping adventure we explore the Lidsdale and Marrangaroo area camping along the Cox's river.
Crossing over the Cox's river is one of the highlights of exploring this area along with Firetruck Hill and endless tracks of 4wheeling fun!
This truely is a place you can go back to over and over again with campsites scattered along the river and various track difficulties that can challenge the best of us, including Firetruck Hill and Mt Walker. For Max and I, driving the Cox was the best part, crossing over the river more than a few times while we exploring the many 4wd tracks this area has to offer.
If you are looking for an awesome weekend or a few days of 4wd and camping fun you have get to get out to explore this area!
It is a must see 4wd destination!!

Awesome video mate. Love how your keeping the older 4x4s going and do the simple camp setups . I really want to find the first spot that you were at, could you do maps on your videos?

Mate firetruck hill, camera angles never show how steep it really is. Been there a few times and can be very sketchy without lockers and a winch. Good stuff on the videos

Cameras never do any justice! Definitely a good challenge firetruck 👌🏻
Great place mate. We've been there on our own and with our 4wd club. It certainly can be intimidating if you aren't familiar with it. Blood steep in spots.

Good onya mate, keep meaning to head out there and every time I do, it pisses down rain. Enjoy your vids mate, its what us normal blokes like to do 👍 Quick question, are all these tracks on your Overlander? Ive got the Overlander and there is so much missing off it, Im surprised and not sure if there is any way to update the offroad maps?

Cheers banana 🍌 Shame about the rain mate, it really is an awesome place! My overlander has about 80% when it comes to tracks… Sometimes it shows tracks that ain’t there and other times it doesn’t have the track we’d be driving on. From what I know there is no update on the off-road maps but I do tend to flick through my phone maps from time to time as well when the overlander lets me down. I have heard the Overlander is better for use in USA

@@shaneod Hey mate, spoke to both Garmin and Hema and Im really disappointed to say that neither have plans for any updates, paid or unpaid, that will work with the Overlander. Pretty poor I reckon.

Nice one mate That is quite disappointing to hear, did they indicate as to why? I could only imagine that there is not much money in it for them and have more profitable projects to focus on 🤔
Is there bypasses around fire truck hill etc??
@shaneod
Жыл бұрын
Yeah there is mate. If u have a GPS you’ll be able to see tracks everywhere. Most of the hectic stuff does have a chicken track or another bypass road you can get onto. Just may end up having to back track a little and find ur way around.
Hey buddy what’s your overlander like phone handfree if u use it thanks

Hey mate I honestly couldn’t tell u but I know it wasn’t too hard to find. I mostly followed the tracks around the river and kinda just came across it… is a great little crossing though that one 👌🏻

Its been a good unit and I am happy I have it but it’s really not up to date with tracks at all around Australia. I has really let me down sometimes and i still use it along side google maps. Depending what u want it for, it may not be worth the money…
