Coworkers are hell
Ойын-сауық
A little thing I wrote for my book WORKING NINE LIVES.
I worked in jobs for 30 years and while everyone was doing their best, you could feel how the primary school game of Simon Says had stolen something from my coworkers decades later.

Thank god i dont work in an office
This reminds me of being in the U.S. Army
Ya in the USA your lucky if you get 1 week a year and that is if your company even offers that as it is not required by law. In many states over here they don't even have laws that mandate a meal break. Nor is there really any max amount of time in law. I have looked into it. Legally speaking a company here could work you 24 hrs a day everyday if they wanted as long as they paid you the minimum wage. And in all customer facing jobs it is demanded from you to have a smile on your face and a smile in your voice at all times you are in ear shot of customers. The toxic fake positivity as you stress are you going to be pay your rent/bills and buy food.

Dont forget, no more water breaks and 14 year olds in the slaughterhouses and doing construction. It gets worse from here
I am blind as hell without my glasses, so when I was stopped by my Gm as to why I had them off replied I'm tierd of seeing bullshit.
This reminded me of a Gotye song "Easy way out"

I just checked the lyrics - I see what you mean
damn
Did you say "two week holiday"? Try being 🇺🇸... all of the crushing existential dread with one week "vacation" & no healthcare.

I've heard it's tougher in the US... one week isn't enough to regain perspective
