9:16 that fireman standing on the right must play arrow roulette in his spare time.
Did Mythbusters ever do a similar series of myths - driving through a metal gate, or a person diving through a plate glass window unharmed? I know in the movies they use 'candy glass' made of sugar.
Bring this show back put it on tv again

Sorry, but i think without Grant it whouldnt be the same even when the other Mythbusters whould reunite.
Thanks again. I'm enjoying every minute of this. Keep them coming. 👍 👍
9 times out of ten its quick hip fire in the movies and storys while the myth busters was shooting from shoulder hight. I wonder if the hip fire having a upward trajectory would have enough force to blow the hat of the head instead of shooting straight at it from the shoulder. They should re-test with the correct tragectory.

I think the same... plus... the bullet will hit the flat ring at the front, the force will be multiplied by the lever efect plus the bullet hitting the top of the hat... I'm pretty sure the hat will fly off...

I wonder if an old used hat would offer more resistance. If the fibers were saturated with oil or grease from your hair/skin or whatever, and then covered in sand and dirt. Another thing is the dummy they used. The head is too small so they stuffed the back with a wad of paper to keep the hat in place. And the dummy is presumably a rubbery gripping texture, where human hair would have a lot less friction.
I don’t know who you are, but I like you. Thanks for uploading this.
Thanks for the upload. I was hit hard with nostalgia

That old ways jail is really over-the-top. Though if you consider the frontier status of California in the 1850's it make sense why. That jail was likely build to withstand an actual army trying to break people out.
Thanks! It's so hard to find MB's in KZread these days
You should have pulled at the middle of the bars, not the bottom, to create max bending moment. And only one bar at a time. The horsepulling myth is not busted.

what an epic show man
so nobody is gonna egnoledge that they use a real human skull ? that was a person ?
I would add a good amount of cracked black pepper, not just because it works with Turmeric really well, because I lurrrrrve it!
The hat shooting was because the guy was kneeling while shooting the hat off the other guy...they did not do this here
Go ahead punks , you made my day ❤

And that was the only time that mechanic was on MythBusters…😂
Why not do 1 bar at a time?

🤣 should’ve used a competitive Belgian draught horse. They pull for a living.
Funny we never see the tech again...
I'm not convinced on the jail break. I feel the methods should be combined. Here's how I'd do it: You get your (in)mate to stand as far from the windowed wall as possible, then blow it, wrap a rope around the loosened bars, your mate grabs the bars and you pull him through with the horses. For it to be successful you'll have to move fast after the dynamite blows, because the bang will attract attention. And obviously your mate has to be able to fit through the hole, but I think it'd work. If anyone knows if they revisited this myth in another episode, I'd like to know which.

Jamie also said that you could just use an axe to chip away at the wood and then pull them out. Also they showed how this was exclusively for a frontier jail. A state jail where they would lock up the people they considered truly dangerous you won't be getting through.

Though that Monoray bay jail really was over-the-top. It likely was build by the federal government as California was taken by force from Mexico. It is one of the few states in the US that was taken by force by the federal government directly and not founded by settlers in any way. They likely build that fortress jail to with stand an assault by a Mexican army. It's origins being directly founded by the federal government itself is part of what makes California unique in it's development. That hasn't stopped BTW, California gets more government subsidies than any other state largely focused on Silicon valley. Silicon valley likes to pretend it's a tech center because of market capitalism but it really is just the federal government pouring in hundreds of billions to keep up American technological superiority.
Wasn't the most common hat the Bowler? The Stetson or 10 Gallon hat was a Hollywood myth(buster)
ooooh kerry ....
Why not do one bar at a time…?
i'v seen some guy shot a gun with his hat on and it when't flying

Great fun as usual, but how can that guy claim the airbag is "in the car" not in the door? It's right there behind the door trim panel!
@DJVisionMusic

Well technically behind the door trim panel is still inside a car Airbagging away...
@maymayman0

I think what he meant was... the airbag faces the seats, and its located on the side of the door that is inside of the car. Its not inside the middle of the door where the window is, facing outwards -- its in the car, ON the inside-facing side of the door
@stephenmoncrieff2056

As a mechanic I already knew the lock pick and the kicking the door wasn't going to set off the airbag . Most side airbags are in the seats not doors . And a vehicle has multiple impact sensors and would need more than one triggered to set off the bags , as well as the speed of the vehicle needs to be above a set speed . They don't want bags going off with just a fender bender . They are expensive after all .
36:27 even a regular guy can kick more than a 1056 if he wants to, and a trained individual can kick way harder than that ..
kari is so cute
