Ah thankfully people are starting to catch onto what I've been saying since March! Protecting the very small subset population of the most vulnerable, susceptible people who should take necessary precautions (focused protection) and allowing the virus to run its natural course. Prolonged isolation of the elderly or people in care homes is nothing less than inhumane and should be considered crimes against humanity. Allowing the infection to pass through the general healthy population, that effectively have almost a zero percent chance of serious infection and or long term effects. This is the Only way to completely neutralize the viral virulence. T-cell immunity and immune memorization and recognition to SARS-COV-2 to similar RNA sequenced genetic information, from past Corona virus infections, hence is the reason for mild or completely benign symptoms or infections happening in the vast majority of the population. Naturally acquired Herd immunity is not an objective opinion or hypothesis, a theory, a strategy or a debate, it is biological law, like gravity or the laws of thermodynamics. Empirical biological law such as herd immunity is the absolute truth, it never changes, alters, wavers or is effected by political human agenda, or monetary gain, it exists and occurs whether anyone believes in it or not! For simplicity of explanation, there are basically two (type) classifications of pathogenic virus. First (type) High virulence/low infectious virus ( ie EBOLA, AIDS, Rabies etc.) 85-99% death rate regardless of age or health status, but very low level infectious rate. (relatively very difficult to contract). Second (type) Low virulence/high infectious virus (ie influenza, Corona ) ubiquitous, (very common) extremely high infectious rate, but very low level virulence. Essentially almost a zero percent chance of death among the general healthy population with normal functioning immune systems. There has never in history been an effective Cor/virus vaccine, caused by two fundamental factors, antigenic shift (mutation, generating virulence dilution) and acquired antibody immunity, that occurs far more rapidly than any vaccine can be developed, tested and globally distributed. In other words, any vaccines that are being developed right now as we speak, are already dated and ineffective. The high case counts with low casualty numbers are a normal predictable pattern of all Corona viral outbreaks. The virus has drastically weakened virulence from T-Cell antibody immune response to massive population infection spread and saturation, to the extent it becomes, to the vast majority, nothing more than another common cold like annoyance. Because the SARS-COV-2 virus is now at the epidemiological low level virulence classification, what is known in epidemiology as the pathogen endemic equilibrium phase. (viral stasis) All future focus should be towards (MPIE) mass population immunization by exposure, (herd immunity) from the healthy population, at as normal a rate as possible, in order to protect the most vulnerable health population. Any deviation from this narrative from the scientific community will only prolong the suffering and cost more lives to be lost. Instead of trying desperately to prove to the world that they were right, it is long overdue time for all scientists to admit consensus and follow the exact public health protocol that has been unspokenly used for every pandemic in modern history, whereas naturally acquired population immunity (herd immunity) is the principal driving force and Not in refute.

Is hidden within the analysis of this video something related to the science I’ve seen that a flu vaccine reduces the immunity to the next round of mutated flu (I’m talking about normal flu). And could this effect also apply to Sars Covid 2? We really don’t know the long-term effects of vaccines so it would be interesting for this to be discussed, even if heavily qualified

@@fumusfumus I can;t back up what I;m about to say, but I was listening to the World Service in the middle of the night last night (around 5 am) and was listening to an epidemiologist who mentioned this. He said there had been a concern that having a flu jab might mean you were less able to fight ioff Covid if you caught it.. Their latest research findings suggest the opposite is true, that having a flu vaccination not only makes no difference to whether you catch Covid or how well you recover from it, there seems to a small amount of evidence that having the flu jab is actually helpful rather than deleterious, though more research was needed to confirm the possibility of its being helpful....if I hadn't dozed off ten minutes later, I'd have noted down his name, but unfortunately I did not.

I've dedicated my life to being a volunteer, which has kept me constantly around people in public in many different communities, and a few countries, and in many different public places (like WCs). I've had a pretty good immune response to the various colds and flus that go around. And now... I've been strictly isolating for months. The health care workers who were discovered to have a continued presence of antibodies to the SARS-CoV-2 highlights something that I believe to be true - an active immune system is good for us. I'm concerned about the (yes, understandably necessary) effect that social isolating is going to have on my, and other people's, immune responses! It reminds me of what happened with my friend's baby - who was kept strictly isolated at home, and all objects he was allowed to contact had been sterilized. His first contact with a cold virus made him very ill. After that this new mom realized that her baby needed outside contact, to have a healthy immune response. This illustrates my concern about the affect of the measures that we are having to implement at this time.

@@ghwk-phd2784 I suspect you haven't listened to many of his videos because if you had you would realise that Dr Campbell does not do scare tactics. His approach is to unpick evidence and present it in an accessible way. If you have evidence that he is "manipulating" us for "monetary gain" then you must have forgotten to provide it. Dr C always provides transparent first hand sources so we can look at the evidence for ourselves. Finally, Dr C is totally professional & has spent virtually every day of the last 9 months preparing & presenting information: no mean feat. This is real dedication & a public service. I hope he is gaining some income from it. Huge numbers of us are indebted to him

@@Campbellteaching So simple, give an animal virus to us, which does not make us I'll, sorted, simple, rather than spending billions on pharmaceutical companies, billions on track and trace, billions on job support, billions on keeping businesses going, destroying our way of life, just give me the cat cough, or is it not that simple. Lockdowns don't work, because the first one failed. If as both videos show on long term immunity, then herd immunity will work. The average age of covid deaths, is 83. The normal average age of mortality is about 80, which means to me, allow the young and healthy out, develop herd immunity, which will then protect the elderly and frail. The hospital admissions, are normal for this time of year, and so are the mortality rates. Just seen that a 9th student has regrettably committed suicide, which I think more students, have died from suicide than covid! So sad. The inhuman treatment of those in care homes, at the start, and now, not being able to see their loved ones, is heart breaking, and it is that contact, which is so important, for their well-being, is cruelly being denied. With vaccines, with flu, only the vunrable have a vaccination, not the fit and healthy, yet they are pushing for everyone to have an unlicensed vaccine, when as I said, the average age of mortality is 83, and you said that. There are figures out, that say over 60,000 people have died at home not of covid, but due to the policies of this government, and if the government continue with this madness, there be far more dying due to, not of covid. What I cannot understand, is there are thousands of scientists, doctors, economists, all saying this is all wrong. Or have I got something wrong in my reply? I wake up hoping that it was a nightmare, and everything will be back to normal, rather than what seems, a slow slide into 1984!

@@paulnew8344 Excellent Paul, It's what I've been saying for the past three months. The news media is the same here in the USA as in Europe, scaring people with their BS. And yes, we are now entering Orwells1984 era. Herd Immunity is best, shutdowns only slow the spread but right after the shutdowns it starts again. Causal effect? Destroying peoples lives and businesses.

Surrendering to the virus to get to ‘herd immunity’ is not a defensible plan. We’ve never been able to do it before with ANY virus, and with SARS-CoV-2 it will lead to unnecessary death and suffering. The only way to effectively eradicate viruses within large, non-isolated populations is with vaccines. Example: small pox. Everybody would get it and survivors became immune for the rest of their lives. But smallpox never did just go away. Why? Because new babies without immunity kept being born and the virus circled back around. It was only eradicated after widespread vaccination. It's important to remember that herd immunity is not universal immunity. It’s a percentage game that relies on the proportion of immune individuals sufficiently outnumbering susceptible people so the rate of spread approaches zero. The percentage required for herd immunity varies per disease. It also depends on protective measures currently employed and can only be determined with any degree of accuracy after some years have passed. BTW, Swedish officials have come out and said they are NOT just taking a “let ‘er rip” approach to Covid-19. I had a terrible flu in March (I live in Moscow for most of the year), and the aftermath was my hair falling out quite a bit - I was really concerned, it was REALLY bad. In June I went to check my blood - wow wow my vit D was in a total deficit. Long story shorr, I started taking Vit D3 2000iu and moved to a sunnier area during the summer and tanned while the sun still wasn't strong. My hair feels strong now, it stopped falling out and I haven't had a cold yet (I usually get a cold in September/October). I also started taking vit C just recently.

Have your D3 levels checked again. 2000i.u. daily isn't much. I take 10,000 i.u. daily and my D3 blood levels are right on the money. I'm 80 yr old however.

@@jewellevy Yeah, they went up quite a lot. It was probably the combination of being in the sun and taking the 2000iu during summer that helped me. I took a break from taking them, and now I am back at it.

I watched the radio broadcast and I think you did very well, it put my mind at rest because everyone now seems to be under the impression that the latest news on immunity means we are all off to hell in a handcart.

Thank you for the bottom line early in the video! Allowed me to squeeze the info in on my break at work!

Thank, Dr. John. I wish the BBC would ask you on, rather than DW. I fail to understand why the news media in the UK report "panic" stations reactions rather than reasoned interpretation of the scientific evidence as a it emerges. Best wishes from Herefordshire, where Covid 19 cases are slowly but remorselessly rising. PS: I work in a petrol station, so meeting hundred of people on any given shift. Of course I have been following your advice on masks [even before it became compulsory] and taking Vitamin D ... Also we have a screen at work, and plus the customers are usually in and out in a short time. But it is absolutely amazing how many people are not wearing masks. Two sorts as far as I can see. The virus deniers, and those who claim to have forgotten their mask ... Unfortunately it is most likely that it will be such people who catch the virus and are among the 99% who will survive largely or completely unscathed. What worries me it that they then go on to infect family and friends who are at elevated risk though age and illness. These people are likely to have much sadder outcomes in a higher proportion of cases. What can a person do? It is exasperating ...

I live in New Hampshire in the US and we are now seeing more infections daily than we had in March. I have COPD and asthma and other health issues, I am self quarantine until this passes. Ah thankfully people are starting to catch onto what I've been saying since March... albeit very slowly. Protecting the very small subset population of the most vulnerable, susceptible people who should take necessary precautions (focused protection) and allowing the virus to run its natural course. Prolonged isolation of the elderly or people in care homes is nothing less than inhumane and should be considered crimes against humanity. Allowing the infection to pass through the general healthy population, that effectively have almost a zero percent chance of serious infection and or long term effects. This is the Only way to completely neutralize the viral virulence. T-cell immunity and immune memorization and recognition to SARS-COV-2 to similar RNA sequenced genetic information, from past Corona virus infections, hence is the reason for mild or completely benign symptoms or infections happening in the vast majority of the population. Naturally acquired Herd immunity is not an objective opinion or hypothesis, a theory, a strategy or a debate, it is biological law, like gravity or the laws of thermodynamics. Empirical biological law such as herd immunity is the absolute truth, it never changes, alters, wavers or is effected by political human agenda, or monetary gain, it exists and occurs whether anyone believes in it or not! For simplicity of explanation, there are basically two (type) classifications of pathogenic virus. First (type) High virulence/low infectious virus ( ie EBOLA, AIDS, Rabies etc.) 85-99% death rate regardless of age or health status, but very low level infectious rate. (relatively very difficult to contract). Second (type) Low virulence/high infectious virus (ie influenza, Corona ) ubiquitous, (very common) extremely high infectious rate, but very low level virulence. Essentially almost a zero percent chance of death among the general healthy population with normal functioning immune systems. There has never in history been an effective Cor/virus vaccine, caused by two fundamental factors, antigenic shift (mutation, generating virulence dilution) and acquired antibody immunity, that occurs far more rapidly than any vaccine can be developed, tested and globally distributed. In other words, any vaccines that are being developed right now as we speak, are already dated and ineffective. The high case counts with low casualty numbers are a normal predictable pattern of all Corona viral outbreaks. The virus has drastically weakened virulence from T-Cell antibody immune response to massive population infection spread and saturation, to the extent it becomes, to the vast majority, nothing more than another common cold like annoyance. Because the SARS-COV-2 virus is now at the epidemiological low level virulence classification, what is known in epidemiology as the pathogen endemic equilibrium phase. (viral stasis) All future focus should be towards (MPIE) mass population immunization by exposure, (herd immunity) from the healthy population, at as normal a rate as possible, in order to protect the most vulnerable health population. Any deviation from this narrative from the scientific community will only prolong the suffering and cost more lives to be lost. T-cells are matured in the thymus gland which shrinks and becomes less active with increasing age. Both curcumin from tumeric and melatonin have been shown in studies to protect the thymus gland as well as regenerate it somewhat. What if the severity of covid19 in older patients is related to this age related shrinking of the thymus gland and hence the lower activation of immature T-cells? Might the elderly taking tumeric and melatonin help protect against severe complications of covid19 by helping the aging thymus gland produce mature and very active T-cells to fight the initial immune response to the virus? Just food for thought.

Unfortunately even though Turmeric is widely available the dose is unclear and melatonin requires a Doctors prescription in the UK. As well as the reduction in the production of T-cells in the elderly the efficiency of the T cells and other supporting cells in the immune system decline with age. Turmeric is the major component of curry and therefore you might expect countries that use it in their daily curries would have a better protection from the virus but I don't see any evidence for that (India?). Melatonin is I believe available over the counter in the US and some other countries and I see that it is being prescribed as a treatment for Covid in some countries but I thought this may be to aid sleep and the healing effects of that.

Ah thankfully people are starting to catch onto what I've been saying since March... albeit very slowly. Protecting the very small subset population of the most vulnerable, susceptible people who should take necessary precautions (focused protection) and allowing the virus to run its natural course. Prolonged isolation of the elderly or people in care homes is nothing less than inhumane and should be considered crimes against humanity. Allowing the infection to pass through the general healthy population, that effectively have almost a zero percent chance of serious infection and or long term effects. This is the Only way to completely neutralize the viral virulence. T-cell immunity and immune memorization and recognition to SARS-COV-2 to similar RNA sequenced genetic information, from past Corona virus infections, hence is the reason for mild or completely benign symptoms or infections happening in the vast majority of the population. Naturally acquired Herd immunity is not an objective opinion or hypothesis, a theory, a strategy or a debate, it is biological law, like gravity or the laws of thermodynamics. Empirical biological law such as herd immunity is the absolute truth, it never changes, alters, wavers or is effected by political human agenda, or monetary gain, it exists and occurs whether anyone believes in it or not! For simplicity of explanation, there are basically two (type) classifications of pathogenic virus. First (type) High virulence/low infectious virus ( ie EBOLA, AIDS, Rabies etc.) 85-99% death rate regardless of age or health status, but very low level infectious rate. (relatively very difficult to contract). Second (type) Low virulence/high infectious virus (ie influenza, Corona ) ubiquitous, (very common) extremely high infectious rate, but very low level virulence. Essentially almost a zero percent chance of death among the general healthy population with normal functioning immune systems. There has never in history been an effective Cor/virus vaccine, caused by two fundamental factors, antigenic shift (mutation, generating virulence dilution) and acquired antibody immunity, that occurs far more rapidly than any vaccine can be developed, tested and globally distributed. In other words, any vaccines that are being developed right now as we speak, are already dated and ineffective. The high case counts with low casualty numbers are a normal predictable pattern of all Corona viral outbreaks. The virus has drastically weakened virulence from T-Cell antibody immune response to massive population infection spread and saturation, to the extent it becomes, to the vast majority, nothing more than another common cold like annoyance. Because the SARS-COV-2 virus is now at the epidemiological low level virulence classification, what is known in epidemiology as the pathogen endemic equilibrium phase. (viral stasis) All future focus should be towards (MPIE) mass population immunization by exposure, (herd immunity) from the healthy population, at as normal a rate as possible, in order to protect the most vulnerable health population. Any deviation from this narrative from the scientific community will only prolong the suffering and cost more lives to be lost. Thank you very much for explaining the immunity of Covid survivors in detail. My Husband and I are both recovering from a bad case of Covid 19. Our Doctor thinks we've had Delta variant, since that is prevailing the most here in South Carolina of United States. Husband was hospitalized with Covid Pneumonia a couple of days and I was kept a few hours and treated at the hospital and then transported home. We got sick around the middle of July. Fever, dry and then congested coughs frequently, short of breath, exhaustion, loss of taste, could not eat...we both lost a lot of weight, he especially (we both were just slightly overweight and now just right but we were active and took no prescribed medications). No, we did not get the shots. Your video today gives me hope concerning natural immunity being long lasting. I remember you mentioning we might have cross immunity from betacoronaviruses from dogs (makes dogs and cats vomit and have diarrhea but it can't make people sick). Made me hug my border collie a bit more that day.

@@katarinakay8215 Some truth maybe, but they do also give us some terrible diseases - dogs can cause blindness. Most horrifying to me is Toxoplasma Gondii, spread by cats, which changes rats brains, and as a side effect changes ours too by making dopamine precursors so that we take more risks. Look it up, the evidence is fascinating in relation to motor cycle accidents.

Younger people having COVID have a good T-cell response. Older people have not. This can probably be extrapolated to T-cell immunity.

I so agree they give knighthoods etc to some people who have in my opinion done nothing to deserve it. This man has worked hard for 10 months now to inform and educate us at a very worrying time.I'm sure I'm not the only person who can say he's truly kept me sane. @@juliecross6313 I think he deserves recognition at least, in official circles, but I imagine he maybe would not be interested due to his inherent humility. Also it probably would not fit with the politicised covid-19 campaign leaders and all the scientific me first brigade. Most studies and papers that Dr John has reported on in the UK have been published in other countries and therefore the experts in the UK didn’t want to accept the findings. Luckily for us Dr John does not suffer from elitism when it comes to helping to save lives.
