I took the nose swabbing test while I was traveling with my older brother and I’m only 11 years old I promise it only burns a lil bit it feels like some water went inside your nose and burns for atleast a few secs don’t be scared

Depends on the nurse doing it. My nurse jabbed it way up there. It felt like I was being stabbed. Then when she twirled it, it felt like sand paper. I had to grab my steering wheel because my reflex was to push her away. But it all worked out, no bloody nose. It's just one of those things you have to go through when seeing the doc.

She done it properly then. The proper swab test for COVID-19 is insert the swab straight until touching the throat roof. It was horrible but effective if done it right.

It's called nasopharyngeal sample for a reason. She is doing it wrong . It should be horizontal to nasal floor only then it will be easy to reach upto to nasopharynx .she was directing it towards the turbinates . Result may have came negative even if the person was positive.

I had a test done - semed like the nurse who did my test went a lot deeper... my eyes are still wattering :)

Soon as she said "I think its going to be okay." After he ask if it hurt. That's when I will zoom off the testing site.

His reaction was exactly the same as mine. I had it down drive thru yesterday

Wasn’t so gentle when I got test done! Very painful for the next 12 hours and my nose bled.

You're actually not putting the swab far enough back in this video for it to be considered nasopharyngeal. Just FYI.

Having my test in the morning

This is not the real COVID-19 swab test i must say. I have done my swab test yesterday at singapore and the swab was insert deep into my nostril and touching the throat roof. have to twist it like few second before taking it out, and my nostril like burning for few minutes. It was a remarkable experience.

I just got tested this morning. It sucks and hurts while it’s in your nose, but once it’s out, you might have a little headache or a burn in your nose for like 5 minutes and then you’ll be fine. Nothing to worry about Edit: I got my test back negative👍

Had a good soft nurse. Still wasn't pleasant hurt. Wasn't as bad as I'd thought it would be. Never wanna do it again LOL.

Naw!!! That’s BS! I felt my swab go all the way back to my soul! It was so painful and I tasted a metallic taste each time she twisted it while it was inside my nostril.

I'm 15 got tested so I could go to a appointment and my lil sister to they stuck that thing in and it was painful for like 5 sec

I had it done today, no pain maybe like a burn/scratching feeling. Its more of an uncomfortable feeling than anything else. but the nurse that did it was bloody good, just feels really weird. From the moment I sat down to when I got back up it was all over in a minute. They only had the stick up in my nose for about a 10 seconds or less. I find out the results in about 2 to 3 days. Only got it done because I have really bad tonsillitis at the moment and need antibiotics. Cant get them till this is done and the results come back. It's a requirement for any nassal/ upper respiratory infection complaint. At least in my country at the moment

@@Nate-ov7mt I too am in the same boat presently my friend. Tonsilitis with a side of Cold symptoms. Not fun. I'm in Canada. Any type of Cold or Flu symptoms, which is silly to me needs Covid Testing before Doctors will do anything else for you. At this point ai just want a Tonsillectomy performed. My Tonsils have caused me 40 years of headaches...not literally. Lol. But 3-4-5 times a year. My tonsils have issues.

I'm not to sure if that swab test how she do it is enough.. Here in my country.. When we have swabtest.. It almost 20 seconds and it reach deep us it can get. Not half. But only the handle of stick mas remain to see outside of the nose.

It's supposed to be so contagious that you have to wear a mask at all times and stay 2m apart from everyone else but you're telling me you have to get the swab further in the sinuses than that to be able to detect the virus? Yeah right.

Just got my test it wasn’t so bad just feels like a mini feather touching the back of your nose and naturally making your eyes water lol I don’t see why people say it’s painful or it burns

As long as she doesn't touch the patients, it is still clean. Unless they touch her. Then she changes to a new PPE or anything contaminated, before continuing to the next patient. That's the right thing to do.

Those swabs are tainted. If the virus is such a deadly airborne contagion spread orally then one should be able to cough on the swab period!!!

Nose is better because it provides a cleaner and accurate sample. Not everybody's mouth is cleaned before going to get tested.

Viruses are not airborne contagions and are not living organisms..that's why there is no antibiotic for it..it's a solvent or soap aka mucous membrane that is produced for detoxification internally. Viruses are a mechanism that breakdown toxins in the body..Viruses are a healthy sign that the immune system is working. The tests are not properly isolated and do not follow the 4 Koch Postulates. 1) The microorganism must be found in diseased but not healthy individuals. 2)The microorganism must be cultured from the diseased individual. 3) Inoculation of a healthy individualwith the cultured microorganism must be recapitulated the disease; and finally; 4) The pathogen must be reisolated from the new host and shown to be the same as the originally inoculated pathogen.
