Bakuchiol is a milder, less irritating alternative to Retinol in skincare for anti-aging benefits. I think the reason the serum and pigment don't entirely mix is the serum is meant to be absorbed by the skin, its more for skincare benefits, and is used kind of as a vehicle to help spread the pigment over your skin. I have seen other reviews where they say it applies better with a brush but others have said fingers work fine too. I believe its meant to be a highbred skincare product so its more skin care forward, and I believe only intended to give at most a skin tint for a more natural healthy look to the skin. I haven't been able to find it in my area so I haven't been able to try it yet . Thank you so much for the review. I'm really enjoying your channel Holly.

Thank you so much for all the info! It actually did apply well to the skin on my face and the serum absorbed well. The biggest problem I had with this product was that it looked crusty and dry by the end of the day. Thanks for hanging out with me!❤️

@@itshollynow Thanks for the update ! I was hopeful since it had claimed skincare benefits that it would work well on my older dry, dehydrated skin. This is probably a product I should skip entirely then.

It is a retinol alternative so helps with fine lines and wrinkles and dark spots etc Try rubbing it between your fingers to completely break open the beads then put it on your face

It can also be used as a primer if u want it to glow under. I’m thinking if it’s build up the. It becomes a problem. But if I’m going to pay 20 something dollars for a drugstore skin tint that is going to be used as primer the. Id rather have wet n wild color correcting glass skin!! It’s cheap and fantastic!! Tfs does look good on you for sure ❤

Holly, I’ve commented before regarding your eye eczema. I don’t know if you have tried it, bit Emily Noel has had the same issue and she swears by the Vanicream in the tub.

Oh my goodness, I totally forgot! The best thing I’ve found so far has been aquafor ointment, but the vanicream is going in my Walmart order right now. My scatterbrained self 🙄 thanks for commenting again❤️

I wouldn’t be surprised because the high moisture content and sometimes different products just don’t react well with each other. My biggest problem with this product was it was dry and crusty on my skin by the end of the day.

Ok maybe that’s why it’s not working for me! I wear sunscreen every day so that’s super lame. Never had a foundation look so bad. It just sat on top of my skin w everything, multiple sunscreens, multiple primers. No clue why?!

@@itshollynow with bb cream/foundations/concealer’s.. ETC. I usually wait to form an opinion about the makeup bc I like to give it time to oxidize & bc I have had a lot of foundations/concealer’s/etc look different after they’re on my skin for even a couple mins.. I just turned 42yrs old and it’s been frustrating finding a foundation mainly at the drugstore.. I’ve tried many.. when I was younger the drugstore foundations & concealers worked but they really don’t now & I am looking everywhere.. my next stop is Ulta Beauty Store but I have to travel an hour away to get there and I don’t want to go online bc I want to see if the workers can help me out. By the way I ADORE YOUR CAT & YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL AND TY FOR SHARING YOUR EXPERIENCE W/THESE MAKEUP PRODUCTS.. I get eczema every winter on my eyelid. I haven't found anything that helps.

The only thing that has helped for me is the aquaphor healing ointment. I use it during the day so it doesn’t rub off on my pillow, but you can totally use it at night too.

Everyone I’ve seen try it, it only looks good if the person already has perfect skin. Like zero coverage and patchiness everywhere if you have any texture, acne, etc. This will be a hard pass for me.
