Yeah because contacts , not talent. She meet Derek ( he is a journalist who works in the fashion industry. He has connections to major brands like Louis Vuitton and Calvin Klein (brands that emma works with). They became friends when they collaborated on a video on Derek’s channel (you can check that out ) . From there he helped Emma get in touch with these big companies and brought her into Cosmopolitan. The big brands didn’t choose her, Derek contacted them to help Emma. ( I know about all this because I work in the middle) . It’s not about merit, his luck is about contacts, not talent

And having contacts is perfect, but it’s not right to make people believe that you’re chosen because you’re relevant because outside of KZread ( and only part of it ) nobody knows her
