We raise pigs,rabbits,layers,broilers and our main enterprise is dairy goats. Started planting cover crops 3 years ago. We invested in a Genesis no till drill this year. If the math works out it will pay for itself in 2 years. Gabe brown and Ray Archuleta are awesome sources of resource. Looking forward to more pig videos.

OMG, where have yall been? You guys are great. Your content has sparked my mind to research farming on another level. My hope is to have a small farm for me and my family to improve our health and be good stewards of the land. Learning about free-ranging animals is taking us back to a simpler time of raising animals responsibly and humanly. I would love to know your thoughts on winter cover crops to grow through winter for North Texas? I'm looking to supplement or replace hay buying through the winter for 10 count head

A percentage represents a ratio so technically it could be expressed in PPM, or even Parts Per Billion (PPB); depending on what is being referenced. Most day to day percentages we use are parts per hundred but as soon as you get into the sciences percentages often reference either PPM or PPB but are usually just annotated as PPM or PPB to eliminate this confusion. Organic matter is likely PPM, 3000 parts organic matter per million parts of the whole, “parts” being any volumetric constant you wish (cubic inches/cm/yards/meters), would then be defined as 3% organic matter. Congrats on the Savory accreditation btw!

At around 27-28 minutes you mention nitro radish. You talk of the size and soul breaking. Are you concerned about the holes left being a hazard to the livestock?

Could you let some chicken farmer raise pasture chickens ?

Guys I like your operation but the last 4 videos I could not finish as they are just too long. I cannot spend an hour or more so please give some thought to streamline it a bit down to 35 min max. Too busy to stay 60+ minutes.

Listening to life in the fields is why Grampa stopped farming when he was so old he had trouble handling a team of Morgens. He never did like tractors and so on, and like his father-in-law, our de-dan-v-wis-ki, sacred Healer, refused to use chemicals even when threatened with arrest for not obey stupid rules put up by the democrats during WWII. Those fools nearly caused a major riot by the people who saw Grampa as our head man, a civil leader of the People.
