2020 started with a family divorced. Which while it may have been the best decision, doesn’t mean there wasn’t hurt. There was loss and pain, and missed moments that can’t be brought back. But less than 365 days later, after immense growth, hard conversations, self reflection, discovery, forgiveness, respect and boundaries; 2020 ends with triumphant love. Love for these kids. Plans for future memories and moments that don’t want to be missed because of past pain and mistakes. A family for these kids despite no legal obligations. Family looks different for everyone. And so does divorce.
