Courts of Heaven Prayer: Part 2

Courts of Heaven Prayer: Part 2
In this episode, Dawson, Michael, and Josh will dive into the 4 primary verses used to establish the courts of heaven teaching. We will review Romans 8:29-30, Hebrews 12:22-24, Daniel 7:9-10, Luke 18:1-8. Our Goal in this episode is to show how Robert Henderson's interpretations fall far short of the assertions made in the courts of Heaven.

When I have gone to Jesus for His intervention in my trying life situations, the Wonderful Holy Spirit has taken full charge of my case & has shown me the wonderful things that are hidden in the “Written Word of God. At this time of waiting, the Finished Works of Jesus become so real & comforting as we stand upon the flawless Word of God. Whatever obstructions the enemy may bring in, our Heavenly Father has manifested the miracles in the physical realm that are medically proven, and/or restored to me. Glory to His Name! When we approach God in faith with earnest prayers & supplications including fasting at times, the Wonderful Holy Spirit works through us filling us with faith, hope & confidence. Our precious Lord Jesus defends us before the Father and Our Heavenly Father makes all things Beautiful in His time! Between Father & Child relationship things remain simple and His Word is the Key! Courts of Heaven makes the process complex not meant for people like me. Good job “The Remnant Radio”!

There are those who say they "spirit travel" to the courts of heaven, & teach others to do so, to read in a book what is charged against them, face demon accusers, rebuke them, thus blotting their name from the indictments, charges. Very much out of alignment with scripture especially as it then insinuates that the shed blood of Jesus was not sufficient.

Agreed, the subject of “spirit travel” is something we will tackle soon. It’s dangerously close to Astro projection, and is blatantly unbiblical. I pray we get the opportunity to tackle it one day.

I've had people close to me pick up this theology. I didn't read it myself, but as soon as they explained it I saw red flags. I'm not a theologian, but God has given me enough biblically sound doctrine to see the truth. As you guys described context is everything. What made me tremble was the part I heard they were talking to other "Spirits"outside the Trinity. 😬. That's kinda scary as we know Satan even appeared as an angel of the light. Anyways, I'm thankful for this. I hope to use the notes to appeal to my loved ones and pray they will have site for sovereign truth.

This is such an eye opener. First of all that language of dominion and we as Christians are giving God a legal right to do things here on earth I think is first taught by Myles Monroe. I could be wrong but he was the first person I heard it from. This idealogies are currently being taught here in Kenya which is quite sad. The extremes of Charismatic ideologies are ripe here in Africa because of lack of robust theology. This was definitely helpful. God bless

My mom and sister have recently been clinging to this teaching... as well as, soul ties and generational curses. I was concerned when she started sending his vids to a huge family group text. Meanwhile my cousin has been having trouble with her daughter and since my cousin is living with her fiance and not married my mom told her you need to go get married asap at the courthouse (real courthouse lol) because if you go to the "Courts of Heaven" living in sin the accuser will have that to accuse you with and God won't be inclined to answer your prayers. I have been utterly heartbroken that they have adopted these new teachings and been spreading them. It's been a real struggle as EVERY conversation always goes to these teaching. My mom is very confrontational and I dont know how to approach her. Thanks for your vids they have been awesome. 🙏

I know also a sister she is into that teaching. She attended the workshop Spiritual gifts with us, but started to talk about that teaching and if e knew it. What I realized with that sister: there is a controlling spirit dominating her: now I know it: what you can trie: confront your mother in the name of Jesus and challenge this spirit to reveal himself! I have started to do this with unbelievers and in counseling I tried it too and the spirits start to manifest. Then you can guide the person to repentance and renouncing those religious spirits.

Please remember that Satan Is a professional Scripture twister--He even misrepresented God's word when He spoke to Eve. Please search the Scriptures in the manner the gentlemen prescribed, in context and looking at the entire Bible, and see if the Courts of Heaven are actually depicted in it. It is so easy to hear what teachers are saying, especially when they say it so cleverly, and think that it must be true. Ultimately, this is Word of Faith/Prosperity Gospel, as one of the things that are "released" when you pray this way is money and healing coming to you. The Bible is about Jesus and His breakthrough (defeating sin and death on the cross), and the eternal blessings that we receive as a result of making Him our Lord and Savior, not our breakthrough on this temporal world. I pray that the Lord will help you to see Jesus on every page of the Bible

I'm in the Word of Faith movement and there is no such thing as the "prosperity gospel." That's a term ascribed from outside of the camp to the Word of Faith teachers who teach prosperity as a biblical doctrine which it is. Prosperity is mentioned from Genesis to Revelation. So we believe that healing and prosperity are part of the gospel which includes many benefits. Now if you wish to remain poor, can I have your pay check this week. Romans 8:29. "For those whom He foreknew, He also predestined to become conformed to the image of His Son, so that He would be the firstborn among many brethren;" The term foreknew means to know beforehand. Look at the same word foreknew, which is Proginosko in greek, in Romans 11:2 "God has not rejected His people whom He foreknew. Or do you not know what the Scripture says in the passage about Elijah, how he pleads with God against Israel?" The nation of Israel is who God foreknew in Romans 8:29.

Sounds like it starts from a biblical truth that there exist books of our lives prior to one day being lived. Thats clearly in Psalm 139:16 "You saw me before I was born. Every day of my life was recorded in your book. Every moment was laid out before a single day had passed." ##I didn't hear you guys affirm that? In the beginning. Dawson tries to explain it as figirative latter..just plain error cuz it a major theme running thru scripture. Its like "God loves you and has a wonderful plan for your life" He says it's figurative because if it was literal it would damage his case... it's not common sense... . The division of literal and figurative is flawed..see John Walton. More literally is to see thru ancient eyes. Ofc theyd see actual books or scrolls. Put ancient glasses on .why wouldn't they see the books as actual? But the truth is the plan in the books are accessed thru faith in the gospel not thru a process of prayers I'd disagree with Josh that Romans 8:28 isn't about prayer..since it follows on from Romans 8:26 praying in the Spirit according to the will and mind of the Spirit. Prayer is the means to being conformed to the image of the Son. Michael needs to look at this from a Lutheran view of justification...where justified isnt once for all.. Dawson needs to get a good dose of premillenialism and futurism on Revelation 12. Paul affirms it in Ephesian 6:12 "against spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places"...that's where believers are seated. Ephesians 2:6. Satan is still accuser of the brethren. I think you are correct on it being an overrealized eschatology error. But most of your points are in the wrong direction. The main error is addition to faith (active faith ofc) ..faith plus...Christ plus.

Gentleman, thank you for another session to discuss this book/teaching. I watched a You Tube video on this. After watching it, I’m not sure there is a theological problem. I didn’t hear anything in his teachings that seemed like Gnostic principles. I simply think Robert has created a hermeneutic of scripture to explain an understanding he has about prayer hindrances. It may even extend to the realm of demonic deliverance. Or, why we don’t see answers to prayer. I think all Christians need more understanding on this. I think his understanding came from several words of knowledge (not special revelation). I was considering a few scriptures that give prescriptive, legal if we want to use Robert’s terminology, regarding prayer. In James we have “you have not because you ask not.” In the Gospels we have Jesus telling us that when we stand praying and you have ought against your brother, go to your brother first.” We have types of prayer…”the prayer of faith” …”the prayer of supplication” ….”intercessory prayer…” These are just off of the top of my head. All this to say that there are certain formulas and prescriptions for prayer from these simple examples. I’d like to continue to pray and consider Robert’s presentation more extensively. I haven’t come to a decision whether I say yeah or nay yet but I don’t want to make a hurried decision about it. From listening to Robert’s presentation I understand that the “courts of heaven” is a realm of the spirit. I think there’s a hang up with the term “courts of heaven.” Also Dawson you missed it on what Robert is saying. He’s not saying that God isn’t sovereign. He’s saying the converse. He’s saying that we need to know what God has written about us in the books so that we can represent our case according to God’s purpose for us. Praying in tongues is a way that we have understanding on much of this. I know you guys say you’re charismatic. I was wondering if that included believing in the gifts of the Spirit. I would say that a lot of what Robert is getting is from a prophetic gift he has. It doesn’t seem cooky or weird. His presentation is very coherent and connected to a lot of scripture. It sort of reminds me of teachings on “taking our authority” or “taking our position” as scripture does say we are seated with Christ is heavenly places. Again heavenly places is realms of the spirit. Robert says that what the “courts of heaven” are….a realm of spirit. I find it interesting that the sacred cow of Calvinism and to disguise it a bit...we call it reformed theology. We’ve knocked that one around in the church for 500 plus years. We know it to be clearly gnostic from Manicheism and Stoicism and yet we have no problem esteeming the teachers and preachers of this false doctrine. ( I'm not talking about you gentlemen.) However when a brother presents something that is a bit different were ready to call it gnostic and throw it in the trash and dismiss it without really examining it. (I don't think you guys have done this and I know you are responding to many of your listeners regarding this teaching. I say get Robert on the program to discuss because although I think you guys charitable and kind in your analysis you might be missing out on his thesis.

On the sovereignty thing, I am not a fan of “we have to give God the legal right to fulfill His passion.” It sounds to me like he is saying we have to essentially release a God who is bound, through our authoritative actions. So it makes us seem more powerful than God. I know Henderson would never say he’s more powerful than God, so I want to be charitable here. Maybe it’s just wording. But I tend to think that he’s stretching a principle of spiritual warfare way too far, so I get Dawson’s point
