I wonder if they cried like when the child was being tortured. Why the hell are they crying for the abuser, it’s absolutely disgusting!

God bless the pastor whose words clearly had an effect on a crowd who could've turned the court upside down. Even the law enforcement in the room allowed him to take control and calm everybody down. THIS is the man who can clearly lead. I'm glad he was there.

Right because everybody who goes to prison is guilty. Im not saying he isnt. Just saying it's stupid to assume a person is guilty just because 12 idiots too stupid to get out of jury duty say so. There's a such thing as the Innocence Project for a reason.

This guy was guilty. He had two trials, two chances to come up with some other possible story for how that child was scalded. The crime was so heinous, there was a lot of the trial that was reported on the news. Many of us in Michigan followed that trial, and we were glad when he was sent away for 65 years. And he will do the 65. No parole, overcrowding realease, good behavior, nothing. Everyday of his sentence he'll be harrassed, beaten, sodomized. He'll die in prison. Good

It amazes me to see these people get up there and rant and cry and act as of they've done nothing wrong! They kill, torture, rape, mutilate, beat, molest, and destroy their victims and the families lives, yet they cry and act like fools when they are found guilty and sentenced to prison. These people are evil self centered cry babies that deserve prison time for their incredibly vile and disgusting actions. They don't care at all for their victims, only for themselves. The defendants families are no better when they behave as if their loved one just sentenced was an angel and could never do any wrong. They are enablers. If they would have stepped up at the first sign of trouble perhaps their loved one could have straightened their life out.

He looked so broken and like he had been crying in his first two photos. They recently updated his photo for what is now....what, his 6th year in prison. He is gone man, nothing there anymore. Looks like a robot now.

I went thru this case pretty well. I to, for a while thought it was overblown and his charges were way too severe. Not saying I thought he was innocent, but that he was being way overcharged. I even felt he was a pretty convincing man. He is pretty sharp for his age, and by all accounts wasnt doing that badly (other than some minor stuff as teen). However, he did it. He was guilty. The evidence is just too strong. The child was beaten, bitten, bruised all over. Had skin removed and boiled off him. It just simply was not an accident.

Chad K you obviously know nothing about how child abusers operate. They always claim innocence and say they ain't done nuffin wrong. I was abused from age 8 until I left home at age 16 (ran away) by my mother's husband. He subjected me to unspeakable cruelty on a near daily basis which has caused permanent psychological and emotional damage. I was a bright, happy, and creative kid making straight A's and enrolled in the GIFTED program at my school when she met him, with an offer to go to one of the most prestigious prep schools in the city. When it was all over I was an emotionally ruined, drug addicted drop out who had been hospitalized for a year due to multiple suicide attempts from age 14-15. When confronted about the abuse he put me through he denied everything and cried foul, claiming he was being unjustly targeted and persecuted and that I was making it all up because I was jealous of his marriage to my mother. Unfortunately, the hospital believed him no matter how much I protested, and sent me back to the same abusive home I had attempted suicide to escape from. After missing a year of school work (hospital school was a joke, they taught super basic, generalized classes and passed everyone because they felt that the kids didn't need the added pressure of school on top of their f*cked up lives- for someone in Gifted and accelerated learning classes to be in the same class with kids with L.D.- all taught by a SINGLE teacher and one or two aides per day was devastating for me to say the least- when I got out I had missed two grades as I was hospitalized midway through 8th grade and released midway through 9th). My point is this cry of "innocence" by the defendant sounds just like my mother's husband when he was confronted, albeit much more emotional. Unfortunately, people like you who defend this monster take justice from the countless young victims like the boy whose life this monster ruined. Child victims of abuse often have no advocates and thus no voice. Most abused children never receive help or justice because it is so easy for an adult to abuse a child in ways that leave little or no evidence. If this man hadn't gone as far as he had by giving the child a bath in boiling hot water, the abuse would most likely have gone on unchecked for years. In a cruel twist of fate, it was the bath that caused so much physical pain and permanent damage to this child's body that freed him from this abuser. In my situation, the abuse went on until my mother walked in on her husband holding a loaded shotgun to my head after having choked me nearly unconscious. She finally decided to leave him, but too late. The damage was already done. Maybe this child will heal from these wounds and learn to live a healthy productive life. It may be young enough that with proper nurturing and a safe home for the remainder of its young life, there is potential for it to grow up to become a healthy and happy adult. Sadly, the chances are slim because the child's mother will most likely meet another abusive man and put the child back into harm's way. There is a pattern with mothers who allow this to happen, as there was with my mother, who brought a string of men into our home who had nothing but contempt for her son, who they viewed as nothing but an obstacle and competition for my mother's attention and affection. There is nothing worse than abuse by step-parents. When a parent abuses their child, there is usually still some love for the child deep down in the abusive parent's heart which prevents the abuse from going too far and which can aid in the child's healing process (as schizophrenic as that sounds - the same parent who abuses the child turns around and nurtures the child to help it heal after the parent has exhausted the chemical cocktail that is released in their brain when they fly into a rage, much like a crackhead calms down after they smoke their crack and get the narcotic flowing in their bloodstream and into the brain). With step-parents, there is no biological bond, no love, only resentment for the child who came from another man/woman and who is a constant reminder that they have been preceded by other lovers who have staked their ground, thus relegating them to runners-up in the lives of the child's parent. Step-parents or boyfriends/girlfriends often view the child as a direct competitor for the love and affection of their partner, and they often have to wait in line to get the attention of their S.O. after the child's needs have been taken care of. This perp was one of those bitter stepfathers who no doubt held nothing but contempt for the poor child he nearly killed. For anyone dating a person who already has kids, they need to ask themselves if they are truly ready and willing to settle for their wants and needs taking a back seat to their partner's child. This is the way it will most likely be and the way it should be. Any attempt to usurp the child's place in the heart and mind of the S.O. is in itself a form of abuse, and the beginning stage of child abuse. If you aren't mature enough and selfless enough to make the necessary sacrifices to care for another man or woman's child, then you should, by all means, avoid entering any relationship with a person who already has children from a previous marriage/relationship. Do yourself and the children a favor by sticking to dating people who don't already have kids. You will avoid falling into the role of the child abuser, which only leads to self-loathing and shame, ostracization by friends, family and the community, and possible jail time (and having your name entered into a database for the rest of your life).

The EVIDENCE was all over the boys body you idiot!! And yes he HELD him in the bath! No 3 year old is gonna sit unsupervised in a scalding hot tub, without getting out of the water or screaming for help!! And he has damage to his liver from blunt force trauma!! So I guess you need to actually physically be in the room and see it, before you say he's guilty of a crime?? So from now on,unless there's a eye witness,it didn't happen?!?

Not really. You have to remember, this is a sentencing. He was found guilty by a jury. If you look up the charges in the state of Michigan he is actually getting the minimums. Torture in MI is 30-65 years (ouch). The other charges have minimums of 10. He actually got a lighter sentence considering what he was convicted of. The Judge does seem cold, but she is handing out lower than what others would have according to the statutes.

Jonathan Wilcox Actually you're proving to the other youtubers in these comments you make fun of people with autism, also that you have a lack of intelligence, and seem to not even have an iQ it's pretty funny how people like you try to flex on social media for a living, go on this is too funny!
