For my memory I am adding my note: Examination in Chief aur Cross Examination Prosecution Witnesss ka hota hay aur Defence Witness yani accused ki taraf se paish honay walay gawaho ka b. Aur Accused agar on oath statement na de tou sirf 342 k tahat Judge os se sawalat karta hay aur case bayan karnay ko kehta hay. Iss mai Cross Examination nae. Aur agar accused on oath (Quran par hath rak kar) yani under Section 340(2) k bayan de tou wo khud hi ko gawah bana deta hay, jis par os ka cross-examination b hota hay. Aam taur par burden of proof Prosecution side par hota hay aur defence side ko apnay aap ko innocent sabit karnay ki zarurat nae hoti, isliye aksar cases mai defence witness b nae hotay. Lekin jab ap on oath statement daitay hay tou burden of proof ap par shift hojata hay. On oath statement aam taur par tab dia jata hay jab accused ka case weak ho. iss mai accuse kehta hay mai khud hi sabit karunga k mai innocent hu..
