Anyway I have a question as well, I've tried paying for a course on cousera using my local bank and the payment was unsuccessful. I did a google search for options and the only one I could find was to pay using a virtual dollar card. It sounds ridiculous to create one just for this purpose and suffer the burden of the bank charges for as long as the card exists. Please do you have any advice on any alternate solutions? (This video is also helpful. I'll be applying for financial aid subsequently. Thank you)

The alternative way to pay on Coursera from Nigeria is to use a GTB Dollar Mastercard. I am not sure if other bank cards work on there.

Yes sure. But you have to submit an application for each course within the specialization.

After my I got my financial aid.. I did my first week lesson and it's saying I should enroll for my with money though my first week challenge ends by 9th of this month...is suppose to work that way

Are you sure you haven’t elapsed the duration of the scholarship? If you haven’t, you may have to contact Coursera for support.

The deadline does not affect your learning. Coursera is self paced.

If you are seeing the option to purchase after getting financial aid. The problem could be that the financial aid had expired before you completed the course.

When I want to apply for the financial aid ..after answering the questions and Everything once I press submit application it takes me back to those questions asked why are you applying for financial aid..and my answers are even more than 200 words...what do I do?

You may want to try submitting your application via the web instead of the Coursera app. Also, I think it should be fine if your answer is a little bit above 200 words, but ideally, it should be a maximum of 200 words.

No, you can’t start the course. You have to wait till your financial aid is approved.

Actually after i sent my financial aid application, i received massage from Coursera that said I can start the course Audit. But i wasn't sure what would be the result so i didn't choose it.

They don’t give you funds. The financial aid grants you free access to the course(s).

Does starting a course in audit form while waiting for your financial aid affect your application??

If your certificate is composed of 5 courses Is it possible to apply like 3 courses right away? Or you need to apply one and get a feedback and and apply for the second until 5 is full

You have to apply for financial aid for each course. Also, I think it is better to complete each course before applying for the next course because I am not sure if multiple applications are allowed.

Please, I've completed a part of the course, then while applying for the second part. while submitting my application I saw an option to start immediately and I picked it. While on the course, I was trying to submit an assessment then I was asked to pay. Then I wanted to re-apply for the course but the financial aid option is no longer there. What do you advise I do?

Hi Damilola, usually you can’t submit financial aid applications once you have started the course. So, you may want to reach Coursera for support on that.

You don’t have to put an annual income. Put zero and make sure you mention your unemployment in the essay section of the application.
