Thanks! We all hope to keep that positive outlook on life... thanks for supporting us to share this story.
I just love Teepa!!! She's so patient
This was an awesome video. I am always telling Gary (my husband) that it's not him, it is Lewy. He's aware most of the time but when he's not and I say that, he will usually say "That's right, dang bluey." No doubt this is a very tough thing and it's not easy for the one with it or the caregiver (me). Thank you Teepa for doing these videos. This is the very first one I watched. It was helpful to hear it from Barry.

So many often think you realize the details when they are only speaking in generalities. I seen this with my mom so often. Teaching those cues make a vast difference.

Thanks Teepa my daughter graduated from Pitt dental school of Medecine as a licensed dental hygienists & often we are shocked & speak about how many professionals are losing insight to common sense prep care to patients of all types not just those with dementia. She teaches & trains her companies licensed dental hygienists regarding professional & caring for patient practices. When my mom was dying of cancer I was appalled at the fallen realization of importance of proper caring techniques & lack of disrespect for not just my mom but many of their residents. Also hospitals they know how to give great emergency care but then they drop the ball. 🤷♀️🙏
Hi Teepa! I was wondering when he was diagnosed with LBD. He seemed to be cognitively intact and I know memory issues is not a problem with LBD not until later or the advanced stage. But great conversation, thank you!

Good question @Marizen! We have a lot of resources on LBD and some great conversations with a few of our PAC Core Team members that are Living with Lewy:) teepasnow.com/?s=lewy+body teepasnow.com/resources/for-people-living-with-dementia/print-resources-for-plwd/ teepasnow.com/about-dementia/ teepasnow.com/resources/for-people-living-with-dementia/
he sounds so intact...I would give anything to have a conversation with my Father...my Fathers voice is disappearing...the words are all but gone..

Hi @Alison Howells, it sounds like you are wanting to talk with your Father more. We know how difficult that can be when words are disappearing. I'm wondering if you might be able to connect with him through singing or listening to music that you both enjoy - sometimes being with each other can provide joy. If you'd like to connect with us, please reach out to talk 1-877-877-1671 or consult@teepasnow.com (we provide free 30-minute talks).
Teepa, I was wondering if you could link some information on younger men who seem to have LBD? Or, is it possible that I can email you? Because of Covid, trying to get an appointment with a neurologist is delayed. I know something serious is going on, but with no official diagnosis, I am stuck with what I can really say or do. There are definitely indicators going on , and things have changed very rapidly in the last few months. I could really use some advice from an expert.
