OKAY, hear me out. I’m pretty sure Gaeul ran away because, remember, she was wearing a unicorn floaty. Meaning she likely can’t swim, so I assume she was afraid of swimming with the rest of the girls, then ran off in fear into the woods. Edit: Also, it ended up in the ocean because they failed to complete their mission. They were two minutes late of 12AM, so the wand found a new location to be found.

I think Gaeul already knew the mission before hand the rest of the girls find out with the ticket. i think thats why they are technically protecting Gaeul? When I tell you.. I'm too invested in this anime. I am too invested in this anime..

in my opinion it seems more like the witches were performing some type of spell to affect the real ive, but gaeul isn't affected so she goes and gets the wand or what ever to stop it

Or maybe the evil IVE was doing some ritual to turn normal ive to evil side, in the pool scene, other girls in the water try to make Gaeul join them but Gaeul find out and run away, then Gaeul come to the forbidden garden and steal the wand to stop the ritual and turn normal IVE to Fairy/Magic girls so they can fight back.

@@cawewe oh yeah, i read it on twitter that when the dark ive casting spell, it affect the real ive via water. gaeul isnt in the water so shes not affect by it. she ran bcs she saw the real ive seems off when theyre in the water

She didn't totally stole it, it was calling her. The wand went to the sea because they failed to protect it until 12 am. One of them has to physically hold it until 12

This MV was produced by the same director who did Either Way. I love both MVs, beautiful and dark. This is the best comeback from IVE the whole EP is just dope

there's a theory that the girls in the swimming pool were actually evil IVE (or under a spell by evil IVE?) and gaeul caught on which is why she ran away. when she took (back?) the wand, the spell was lifted and the girls, now conscious, started looking for her

i actually like this MV analysis for Accendio by @/aidollze. it's actually makes so much sense: The music video motif is mirror and reflections which can be seen in DOPPELGANGER and WATER themes. "ACCENDIO" is a singular of "Accendium" which mean "a setting on fire", following the motif, just as there is a dark and good version of IVE the mirror opposite of FIRE is WATER. WATER is the MAIN DOMAIN of these entities, dark!Yujin creates a portal to a place to fight magic!IVE where it's surrounded by an endless ocean. The MV begins with Leeseo ascending from the WATER, as if she was being 'REBORN' into a different person and Wonyoung urges Gaeul to join them. They all look at Gaeul with indifference like she's a prey, but Gaeul notices that something is wrong with the water and these are not her friends. As soon as they notice that she knows their identities, they hide in their domain. Rei counts the seconds to undo the possession since they've been caught and needs to flee. Okay okay okay, I've spent plenty of time thinking about this... hear me out... The Baddies ARE the Evil IVE: They are at the beginning of 'Accendio' MV the ones who have control over the magic wand. In 'Either Way' the Good IVE are trapped in the Dimension or the World of The Baddies, I also believe that 'Either Way' MV is about Good IVE recognizing their strength and discovering the magic (I think that, because of the end of the MV), when they finally discover magic they can FINALLY scape from Baddies World, so that's why we see Wonyoung while the sun is rising. Now I have the theory that 'HEYA' MV has something to do with this, BECAUSE, we see Gaeul with a crystal ball, so I think that Gaeul using the crystal ball discovers the magic wand and she doesn't get in the pool ('Accendio" MV) because she also discovered that those aren't Good IVE, I mean they are, but Gaeul knows they are being possessed!! :0 or controlled by the Baddies, which I also think Baddies are not only capable of transforming into cats, they can use their magic to become every animal they want (rats perhaps)... So... Also in the 'HEYA' MV I think the Good IVE are in a paradise and the Baddies are trying to enter into it, so the MV tells us that Good IVE through magic and the crystal ball they created or discovered the Baddies. In the 'HEYA' MV you can recognize Good IVE dancing with black and white outfits with the sunlight or light behind them and then in some point they change outfits and the MV also changes from "sunlight to night or darklight" which means we are now watching the Baddies. Anyways, so Gaeul rans away to get the magic wand, then the possessed IVE realizes Gaeul went missing so they try to contact her, while the Baddies are doing that, Gaeul stole the wand and the spell breaks, that's when Good IVE receives powers and that receipt. The Baddies concentrate in getting back the wand and Good IVE failed to protect it because... maybe, just maybe Baddies find out another way to get it back, so the wand itself finds a new spot to hide (the beach). The end of the MV is the only thing I still don't quite get.

I like your theory!! Imo I think that in Either Way the room w/ the mirror was a portal between both worlds and the baddies decided to cross over because in OTR they seem to be enjoying the new world, doing rituals/spells and good IVE can notice it. They failed because they weren’t the real baddies, since they turned into rats and in the Baddies MV they are identified as cat humans + Yujin having cat eyes, gaeul+rei being inside a cat tree, i’m gonna go with they can only be cats imo and now with the wand disappearing they have to get it before the real baddies find it.

As someone who grew up with Sailor Moon/anime/magical girls, I totally F with this SO HARD. An honest to god, real life, magical girl kpop concept! MV of the year, SOTY, AOTY, everything. This is everything I didn't know I wanted!

The expression and direction of the children's mood change are interesting, and the fights are beautiful and not violent, which seems very desirable. Theory: Gaeul fled because, remember, she was wearing a float of unicorn, which means she probably can't swim, so afraid girls pulling her to water, fled to the bicycle forest. There she found an identical group to them, only from evil, making a ritual with her wand and she decided to get even not knowing her power and takes home, is followed by the villains who want to take their place. The battle for the wand and those of good win, as it spent two minutes of noon, the wand disappears and goes to another destination, since they lost the deadline of protecting, so the wand found a new place randomly, and how how A pure and innocent little girl and was the first to get stuck in her, the wand loses power, because it is impossible for the child to understand what is except a toy. This is one of my favorite MVs. Gauel, being the main character, is simply perfect and the plot, editing, clothing and makeup are simply fabulous and elegant. Some people starting a theory about this MV, there's many versions of it actually 😁 Gaeul was there because she can't swim, it's all is because she was afraid, she didn't have any courage. So she's running away. And then she found evil witch summoning something to the magic wand, so she's stealing it. People was saying the witch is the symbol of negativity trying to make the magic wand (the power of positivity) becomes bad like them. When ive received the magic wand, they got powers to beat the witches. But the wand dissapears in the end, that might because they already receive the power (look at their heads in the end there's antenna) and they just look at the child bringing the magic wand because they don't need it anymore. they're giving it to someone else, to gave the kid courage to do the right things and spread positivity (?) idk but it's interesting for me 😁

The girls at the start in the poolare under a spelling (except gaeul). So she realize that and go to the area where are the evil versions of the girls (wich are rats ). The element of the wand and apparently of the evils is the water (the pool, the ocean) so they needed gaeul to go in the water. When the girls are out of the pool they are themselves again ( they couldn't do all the possession complete). They are their real selfs and look for gaeul. When she comeback they got the magic force and transform and now they have the mission to protect the wand till 12. With their powers they fight with their evil versions, these are defeated ( and are converted into rats) but the girls couldn't do it on time so they lose the magic and the wand goes to another place where is its element. I think the child symbolizes a good ending because they are pure so they won't be corrupted with any force or something like that

My theory is that they were just playing hide and seek in the pool so gaeul had to hide but she got lost in the woods. Then she found the ‘evil ive’ doing witchcraft and steal the wand cause it was calling her(? The beginning of the MV is the other girls bullying Gaeul because she's scared of the water; they pretend to have drowned. She runs away because they're being so shitty. After that, yeah, I agree the wand is calling to Gaeul, that's why she was driven to do something as insane as steal it from right under their noses, literally. But the magic clearly has some negative qualities. It seems to have transformed Dark IVE into rats, and at the end made Light IVE also somewhat obsessed with it (since they retain *some* of its powers)

There's a Korean folktale that if the rats eat people's nail, they become clone of that person and pretend like the original. Maybe this mv is affected by old Korean folktale like HEYA.
