But EXO -M contains koreans too Chen and Xiumin i think, the main point of it is because OT12 aren't allowed to go together because there are too much members and may attract attention so the 2 groups go separately to different places. So it is not considered as that.

Here are the members of the group from the beginning of the maze in order: Kai Luhan (Pronounced Loo-Hawn) Tao Sehun (pronounced Suh-hoon) D.O. Lay Chen Kris Chanyeol Pronounced (Chan-yul) Baekhyun (Pronounced Beck-h-yun) Xiumin (Pronounced Shoo-men) Suho (Pronounced Soo-ho) Whenever they make mini albums, they split into two groups: EXO-K (For Korean members who sing in their language) and EXO-M (For Chinese members that sing in Mandarin). But when they come together and make a full album, they're called "EXO", where they ALL sing in Korean and Mandarin. It's just a marketing strategy to expand their International market, mostly the Chinese market because K-Pop is so popular there. The concept of the group was that they all had powers through a "Tree of Life" (such as fire, water, healing, flying, etc) and they all came from an "Exoplanet", but was sent to Earth where they were split up. Then they discovered their powers and came together when the world needed them. That's why they're called "EXO". If you watch EXO-K - "MAMA", it tells you the backstory. But sadly, Kris, Luhan, and Tao left the group due to conflicts with their record company, "SM Entertainment", nicknamed: "SMTOWN". Some people make in fun of the company and call them "Slave Masters" because of their outrageous contracts and long hours of work. But overall, EXO is very popular. Can't wait for their new MV and album this month.

There are originally 12 members in the group (now there's only 9 but there was still 12 in overdose). The sub units are Exo-K, which sings in Korean, and Exo-M, which sings is Mandarin Chinese.

That choreography was on point! Loved the black and white scenes. This video had English and Korean, but there is an all Korean version. P. S. Love you, Kai!

In the video Chen shot a light which represents lightning. They all have powers which is explained through each music video. I believe it starts with Mama which shows all of their powers. The concept of the maze is that there is no exit and it only leads to the middle. This is because their fan base is called exo-L and they want everyone to be drawn in by their love which is the center of the maze. If you watch Mama it will explain the whole story behind everything so please check it out!

I think what happened with this was that for the MV they brought in EXO-M (the Chinese sub-unit, K is the Korean sub-unit) to dance and sing parts too - but on the album (EP?) it's just the members of EXO-K singing; or if you buy the Chinese album it's just the members of EXO-M singing (The MV for EXO-M - Overdose is basically the same except EXO-M are in the 1st verse and EXO-K in the 2nd, in the Korean MV, the one you watched, EXO-K are in the 1st verse and EXO-M 2nd verse)

Kpop or korean pop music, is no longer just made for a Korean audience now, there is a large international demographic present, and the the korean music industry are trying to, and have grasped that audience. So almost all kpop songs have a mix of Korean and English, with verses in Korean and their hooks in English. You don't necessarily have to watch these videos subtitled cause there are fans that don't anyway. I prefer them without subtitles, and rather get into the rhythms and melodies of the songs. Every now and again I dabble for the subtitles, but know that there can be lines that just don't sound good with their English translations because of certain language or cultural barriers that can't be translated over thoroughly.

yes i know kpop isn't like that big over in Korea but there are A LOT of international fans so kpop isn't just for koreans it's all over the internet for other internationals people and fans to watch and enjoy too.

ahh exo has come so far im so proud of them

EXO is one full group, which used to have 12 members. They were sow rated into two sub groups,EXO- K and EXO- M. EXO K sang in Korean, while EXO M sang the same songs in Mandarin. Three members left the band, and we're all members of EXO- M. Now there's 6 in EXO-K and 3 in EXO-M. They are having a comeback in July!!!!

So quick backstory. EXO was originally 12 members. There were 2, 6/6 sub units. EXO-K which recorded songs in Korean, and EXO-M which recorded songs in Mandarin (Chinese). As of today, there are 9 members of EXO, as 3 of the 4 Chinese members left the group.

EXo is broken down into EXO-K that sings in Korean and promotes there and EXO-M which sings in Mandarian and promotes in China. But this has the whole group so all 12 members. As the group is split half and half, as four members are Chinese (Kris, LuHan, Lay and Tao). The group is now down to 9 members as Kris, LuHan and Tao have left, you can look into the whole thing surrounding them leaving. But yes, EXO is an amazing group. You should check out Growl, Wolf, Love Me Right, and MAMA. You can even check out some live performances, they are good to watch live.

you are correct on the group subbing into different groups. exo k does the Korean version of their entire groups song and exo m is the Mandarin Chinese version

This video is older than the Call Me Baby MV and it has all their original 12 members. In Call Me Baby two members left the group permanently

orginally when there was 12 members EXO was split into two sub units called EXO-K and EXO-M. EXO-K is made up of 6 Korean members that promotes in Korean and in Korea, while EXO-M promotes in Mandrin and promotes in China, EXOM has 4 Chinese members and the other two are Korean in EXOM. At times when EXO comes with a full album they'll promotes a whole group know as just EXO and will promotes both in Korean and mandrin. But due to 3 of the Chinese members leaving, it's mostly likely they do not separate the group any more, but they still do promote in Mandrin and in China

EXO K (Korean) basically hav 6 Korean members and EXO M (Mandarin) have 2 Korean members and 1 Chinese member but they used to hav another 3 Chinese members (They left due to stuff like overworking, not getting payed/promoted as much as EXO K etc, all 3 r quite famous in China now) Every one of their songs hav Chinese and Korean vers btw and EXO don't rly promote as EXO K or M since there's only 3 members left in EXO M and only 1 is Chinese so they're just EXO, with Korean and Mandarin vers of their songs.

So here is some info on EXO, I've been an EXO-L since they debuted so I'll try to help you out. EXO (Korean: 엑소) is a South Korean and Chinese boy -group that was formed by S.M. Entertainment in 2011, EXO's 4 year anniversary just passed. EXO was offically debuted in 2012, starting with 12 members separated into two subgroups, EXO-K and EXO-M, performing their music in Korean and Mandarin. EXO-K (Korean) EXO-M (Mandarin) For EXO-K, their were six Korean members: Baekhyun, Chanyeol, D.O, Kai, Sehun, and Suho (Leader of EXO-K). For EXO-M, their were 4 Chinese members and 2 Korean members: Luhan, Tao, Lay, Kris (Ex-leader of EXO-M), Chen (Korean member), and Xiumin (Korean member). Unfortunately 3 of the members from EXO-M, had filed a law suit against S.M. for personal reasons. Kris was the first to go, then Luhan, and then Tao. Because of EXO-M no longer having enough members for their group, EXO decided to no longer be seperated into 2 groups but to become one whole group. The members still make Chinese versions but they aren't planning on going back to being "EXO-K and EXO-M". I'm sorry if I am confusing you! I didn't realize how long this message was til now! 💗💗💗💗💗💗
