Most folks probably expect a dog that is deaf and blind to be shy and reserved. What a joy it is to see Georgie's EXUBERANCE as he runs, plays, and enjoys life!

I have 2 rescues from a rescue that specializes in impaired or handicapped dogs/cats (Speak for the Unspoken). They have branches in many areas in the US. It is truly amazing at how well these impaired dogs, relate to the world around them, most are NOT fearful or shy. Those puppers, truly enjoy what ever live brings them, every single day,

He does not realize he is different. It's far more harder for people with these kind of conditions. And it's easier for Georgie to be happy, he is just pet with loving caring owners.

Absolutely!

The blessings of Georgie is that he doesn't know he's "disabled" . He's living his best possible life because people with really big hearts have taken him in to give him that opportunity. All we need in the world is a few million more people like the two of you. :)

Oh, I loved this. 2 yrs ago, I adopted a 12 yr old blind and deaf homeless dog. It took about a yr, but she is now a very energetic, happy 14 yr old baby! It is amazing how well they can adjust to life! I laughed at Georgie playing with someone that wasn't there... My Diamond does the exact same thing! She is the light of my life.

My Snickers who admittedly didn’t have any true health issues other than arthritis which we treated with doggie NSAID’s lived until age 18. He died this past December and there isn’t a day that doesn’t go by that I don’t miss him. He was the best Husky ever! I know that when it’s my time he’ll be that leader of the pack to help me make the trip. Yes my point is older dogs deserve our time and effort and love.

Our (human) life is so much more complex and harder than Georgie's is. It's easy (and ok) to be overwhelmed by life struggles. He is basically just a pet with loving, caring owners. And he does not realize he is different.

Not only is he adorable, but he is so funny. I don't think he has any idea about his disability. He's just happy to be alive. He was lucky that the perfect family adopted him. And they are lucky too.

Obviously, Georgie isn't suffering in any way. He's happy, he's active and seems very healthy despite being blind and deaf. I've never seen an animal that was as happy as Georgie.

I love that this puppy has learned how to be around other dogs even though he is alone now and has nobody there. How cool is that? ❤

We adopted a blind dog also... and the normal love you get from a dog is twice as much when they are blind. Unfortunately she passed away after we had her for almost 7 years from a non-treatable tumor. We gave "Pumpkin" a tremendous amount of love but gave us back twice as much. Thank you for giving Georgie a blessed home where she obviously is cared for so much and most important... shares your love. How assholes can abandon dogs is unbelievable to us... but there must be a special place in hell where they will end up. Thanks again for your kindness, love, and care you gave this poor little guy! You put a big smile on God's face!

Our dog went blind last winter and I see movements in Georgie that our Jonah does. The reaching out...he does that for jumping on the couch or stepping up to curbs. Blindness only creates an expansion in a dog's abilities. Amazing. Thank you for adopting Georgie...he's blessed.

What a great adoption. I am so glad that Georgie has a large loving family. Playing with a "secret and invisible" friend is not unusual though as my adopted rat terrier pup spends a good part of the day playing with her invisible friend, including sharing and tossing her treat to them.
