I so proud of those Haitians that are keeping and uplifting our culture by posting those musics on youtube. My husband is German and he very quickly learn compas by dancing those musics with me. Now he love Haiti so much that he want to retire there. I am just praying for Haiti to get safety. Thank you so much guys

Une des musiques qui m'ont accompagné pendant une bonne partie de ma jeunesse. Elle m'a fait rêver de voir Haiti et les Caraïbes depuis les années '60. Heureux d'avoir pu le faire en 1994, en tant que chef des services généraux dans la mission de paix conjointe ONU/Org. Etats américains. J'ai été dans son restaurant! Admirable peuple!!! Bon repos doyen et que la terre te soit légère.

Malgré que ce pays soit à plus d'un égard une source de firté pour tout "pti nèg", Haiti n'est jamais sorti du feu, malheureusement. Surtout qu'après Papa Doc et Bébé Doc, il y a eu des gens comme Aristide et Cédras. En 1994, ce dernier a déclaré persona non grata la MICIVIH, dont j'ai eu l'honneur de faire partie en tant que chef de la Section des services généraux.

On pense toujours qu'il y a des mains cachées derrière l'instabilité qui met Haiti aux abois! Beaucoup bénéficient de la situation, tant en Haiti qu'ailleurs!

Nous parlons d'un pays qui est indépendant depuis le 1er janvier 1804. Certes, il y a eu des facteurs exogènes, mais ne justifions pas cet échec uniquement que par ceux-ci. Au début, la nouvelle république a beaucoup pâti des sanctions de la France et de ses alliés. Ensuite, il y a eu le poids de la dette payée pendant près de 150 ans.
