Project for a country house in the interior of São Paulo, designed by architects Adriana Helu, Carolina Oliveira and Marina Torre Lobo, partners at Triplex Arquitetura. The starting point for this project was the owners' request that we not create a closed living room in the social area - they would like a more flexible space, which could function as a living room, balcony and gourmet area at the same time. In this way, we designed a large space that can be completely opened up, transforming it into a large balcony. The integration of this social area with the outside takes place through large sliding glass doors and other pivoting doors made of wooden muxarabi that allow a broad connection with the landscaping that permeates the house.
To take advantage of the slope of the land, we chose to build the house on two levels. The main entrance is at street level and gives us the feeling of the house being one-story. From the entrance hall with double height and natural lighting it is possible to access the bedroom level. Going down the stairs surrounded by landscaping we reach the office and social area. For more private moments, we designed a TV room with a pool table, games and a bar.
In the outdoor area surrounded by the garden are the hammock and a view contemplation area with a fire pit to bring relaxing moments for the family. We also created an annex with a SPA, jacuzzi and sauna. One of the highlights of this house is the presence of internal gardens permeating its entire perimeter, sometimes entering volumes, allowing greenery to be seen in any room of the house. In this way, the house has spaces that are always welcoming and overlook a garden, an important feature to make clients feel far from the city of São Paulo, making the project an urban refuge.
The house has 6 suites, the master with the most privileged view. The intimate area on the upper floor is surrounded by a bench, forming the bedroom balcony. The stone shard flooring was chosen for its beauty and practicality in combination with the slatted wooden lining that brings comfort and a country atmosphere to the house. The lighting project sought to be as linear as possible, working mainly with indirect light.
