A fun fact about this game is that in the tutorial (during the elevator section to be precise) there is an actual picture of Osama Bin Laden alongside other terrorists I assume to be members of Al-Qaeda (I also assume the picture itself was actually a screenshot from a real US-Based intelligence site) What a treat

@@dezolance I can see why you didn't, I probably would've done the same thing if I were you for a multitude of reasons, and while I agree with the latter part I'm sure that more people in the west are thankfully more aware of Shoko Asahara and cults in general, hopefully there will be even more steps to prevent the rise of said cults within society

The fact that cs condition zero was my first cs game makes it pretty close to my heart . Like i remember comming home from school just to play with bots. It gets too much hate man its a pretty good game ❤

I actually quite enjoy Deleted Scenes. But I also treat it more as "Half-Life with Counter-Strike weapons" than as an actual CS game. And there are a surprisingly amount of easter eggs and jokes hidden around. For example, in Rise High, during the rooftop sequence, there is a hidden AWP off to the side just after you have to walk on a narrow ledge (the game does love hiding some extra weapons). And if you fall off, you get a game-over-sequence stating the mission failed because "Operative tried to fly". In Hankagai, you can find a guy... playing CS and complaining about a cheater (ESCalation got a video covering that particular one). Shooting the flag in Alamo causes a game-over for non-patriotic behaviour. And a few more that I simply don't remember. Also of note: Miami Heat and Fastlane were used as a basis for two regular maps, the former ONLY on the XBox port, the latter in CZ proper.

I think this game gets too much hate....

the campaign feels like a a proof of concept of what we ended up getting in call of duty 4 but well lets say cod4 ended up being a far more enjoyable experience

@@gabbyprincip1575 I can see it too. Though I really wish MW2 didn't exist because the whole reason COD felt so cheesy is because of its popularity. Hope this doesn't offend other COD players.

This game is carried by it's novelty of using CS gun mechanics (more or less) in a dedicated single player enviroment. As you said, there are interesting ideas, but the execution is bare bones. There is a remake in the works under the name of Recovered Ops, this time using CS:GO as a baseline. Very little progress has been made since 2018 tho.

I think Recovered Ops got cancelled a few years ago, but there's a new mod being developed, it's called Project Deleted Scenes

Yes, i a deleted scenes enjoyer🗿. Clunky and buggy as it is, I enjoyed every part of this game.

Underrated gem, I only found out about it years later from having played CS 1.6 and really enjoyed it, definitely need to replay again soon

Fun facts: -In Secret War, there is a G3SG1 without additional ammo (It is found near the door of the underground generator, between 2 doors. Heading left, you'll find it at the back of some boxes). -In Building Recon, there is a M249 (Found nearby an enemy's M2 Browning Machine Gun), Scout (Found at a bed). -In Downed Pilot, there is a P90 (In a pipe sewage system, after the player burns a lock on a door leading to it and also blows up an RC Bomb to get into the system), SG552 (Found at a crate next to where the player needs to turn the lever to raise the mining cart out of the way) -In Hankagai, there is UMP-45 (Secretly found beyond the locked door near a vending machine. To open the door, one must shoot the top right of waterfall near a Buddha statue. And it should become unlocked), P90 (Found beyond the cracked wall that leads many boxes, the room is before the dumpster part), G3SG1 (Found at the inside of the window where the enemy sniper stood in that position) -In Alamo, there is G3SG1 (Found at the building where the first enemy with white shirt stand) -In Run!, there is Galil Easter Egg: Secret War: -A Chicken can be found at the beginning of the game. In order to find the chicken, go to the boxes where the player must jump off the wall to get the Dual Elites. One of the boxes can be destroyed and the player can find a Chicken. Note that if the chicken is killed, it will make sheep sounds. -Several cubes with the text, "The Castle was HERE," can be found in this map. It is a signature left by Russell Meakim, the map's level designer. 1. The first cube is in the APC, at the bottom left corner of the player's view when the screen starts fading black. 2.The second cube is located near an elevator in the area where the ceiling collapses around. 3. The third cube can be found below the lamp of the rocket in the location were the player see a Spetsnaz operative falls after getting attacked. 4. The fourth cube is located above the fuel pipe after an elevator fight. 6. The last cube is located underneath the truck. To see the cube, the player will have to destroy the ground and fall in the hole, however, this will cause the player to die from falling. Motorcade Assault: -At one point in the mission, a chicken is hidden behind a few crates. Downed Pilot: -In the tool closet outside the room where the player is gassed, if the player presses use key on the chainsaw, an audio clip of Ash Williams saying "Groovy" from Evil Dead II will play. -After entering the hole, a photo can be seen on the inner wall of a man holding a lopsided turret from the portal series with the caption "a very bad man". Hankagai: -There is VIP can be found near the end of the mission. The player must first climb the construction ladder and enter a door. Once inside, a citizen is sitting in front of a computer displaying the menu background of Condition Zero while the VIP, who is armed with a MP5, is sitting on a bed, watching. When the player opens the outside door, the citizen remarks, "What! I got a headshot on him and he still killed me! Did you see that? Probably some cheating hacker!" After complaining the citizen resumes to the game.

@@alansilvero About halfway through the map, there are two yellow platforms sticking out of a yellow cylindrical object. Jumping on the second one causes the first to break and opens a door leading to the Dual Berettas pistol while playing a sheep sound.

the graphics are super cool in the version and the atmosphere is great. Really love this, i had so much fun and time spent on hard difficulty in it.

Throughout the whole 20 min video, the only thing on my mind is 'wait we get a face reveal ? Is that him ?'

for me its better than the "mission mode" in the regular CS

i put down 7000 hours into this game lmao playing with bots is really fun if you have no firends especially when they're very talkative

you can play as a "T" in the story mode if you download a mission pack from the workshop, which is gamebanana XD

Growing up my father hated Counter-Strike overall and seeing me play it always made him mad. He really liked and even watched me play Deleted Scenes because according to him it was not brainless shooting like that other game (1.6) but you had to think (refering to the absurdly dumb puzzles and scripted sections with gadjets)

the church boss is really hard is you dont take him from the right angle

All CS games are still CS in movement from first days of CS till now CS 2. Every CS game I played and I love every CS game equally.❤

I'm happy people finally focus more on the fact that Counter Strike has a story. We need more new story type of content especially for Dangerzone 2 (if it comes out) Every time i mention Condition Zero Deleted Scenes my friends think i had a fever dream. They don't believe CS has a story mode and that all maps and agents (CT & T) were just coincidentally there.

come to think of it this game is basically how CoD4 Modern Warfare is 3 years before it released - Game's missions are more or less a linear FPS shooters with pre determined objectives - You're always started the mission with pre determined sets of loadouts

Ironically I played in the order of cs game start from cs 1.6,cscz, css, csgo and cs2 and yet I played cscz ds last and found its very fun (dont talk about cso, cso2, csnz, csns)

Deleted Scenes is so much fun despite being troublesome at times but that's part of the gameplay. I really enjoy playing it and this game, most of the time, gets overlooked.

I remember this game when my brother played it and i though that it was so cool and atmospheric. I was 7 or 8 back then.Only when ive played all by myself i relealised that it was not so great as i remember but those memories are still alive and i try to think about CZ through them cuz, well, those memories are kinda good.

When I was in the 1v1 knife fight in the final mission I actually managed to kill the terrorist leader, and was stuck on the balcony untill I reloaded an earlier save.

i loved a lot this story version, its really hard for some missions and funny with tons of ennemies. It remind me of "codename outbreak"

Really enjoying your content buddy, taking me on a trip down memory lane.. Just watched your mods video. Have you covered anything about the old superhero and wc3 mods? There was another one I really enjoyed but I forget the name of it.. there would be little platforms set up around the map that you would bunnyhop on and they'd disappear momentarily once you jump on it. You'd get yourself to an elevated location while the enemy tried to reach you with a knife. There were also smoke nades that froze the players and could stick them on walls with a laser to set them off. Really wish there were some west coast servers that still had these mods!

Well you can actually increase the difficulty with the command "skill 0", then the enemy can deal you the real damage, just like how much damage you can deal to them instead. This can lead to a longer and more enjoyable game play

Something I love from this game, is the voice acting in Spanish, THEY HAVE ACCENTS, something I hate so much from Spain is that their translators don't care about the characters in any game, compared to latinoamerica translators who actually care about the characters emotions and origins. Opinions a side, I don't really know who is responsible for the voices in this game, but they did a really great job, some characters even sound silly, but that was the reason I loved this game. Also you go to Argentina??? That is so rare in videogames, that Is another plus

Aah, Condition Zero. This is really special to me. I was a little girl when l played this. Maybe too little. Like... I think I wasn't even 10 years old. But I loved it. Condition Zero was my first Counter Strike. Back then I couldn't even have access to the internet, but I played offline a ton. I wasn't particularly good at it, but I remember that for some reason I developed this strong love of the map Prodigy. I also played the whole entire Deleted Scenes game. It had less missions than the Steam version, because it was a disc version. Fun fact, another difference with the disk and the Steam version was that the normal Condition Zero, not the deleted scenes one, had CS 1.6 weapons and player models. But yeah some things from this game are just burned into my mind. In Lost Cause there is a moment where you crawl down below the floor and it's dark. I remember hitting my flashlight on and the first thing I saw was a body that was like, belly open with its organs visible and stuff. It scared the hell out of me and I remember immediately thinking to myself, "I shouldn't have seen this, I am too young to see such things". It didn't really affect me much long term, but it made me scared to play the game for a while. Something else that I want to share. I was obsessed with the mission Secret War and it is burned into my mind. I remember every detail off of that mission. I loved everything about it. The slow burn in the beginning where you don't know what's going on is so cool. And to younger me, the concept of having two terrorist group fighting each because one wants to steal the missile, while the wants to launch it, all the while you unexpectedly find yourself in the middle of this mess trying to stop them both and? It was so fucking cool to me. It's stuck in my mind forever as one of my core video games memory, alongside seeing Counter-Strike: Source run for the first time. It was on the map de_port. Back then I would've swore that the game looked like real life. The hands holding the weapons were so good looking, you could see the vein in the arm. The characters looked incredible. And the water? My god. It was surreal. I had never seen anything like it. I still think the Source Engine looks amazing honestly. Later that game would be my first online game. And it would basically shape my teenage years. Good times. I always enjoy seeing people revisiting that game. It always takes me back. :)

will give 8/10 personnaly, juts a bit buggy and sometime repetitive. Some "special" weapons are a bit boring too. Its really super cool if you like the base game thow

This game is hated for little reasons like crappy ai or difficult missions and at this point it‘s not constructive criticism anymore it’s straight up just hating o the game. You could‘ve made this video a fucking short and just said it sucks and that would‘ve had the exact same outcome as the video.
