Cool to finally see this work well in Op4, have waited years to be able to do this correctly… how did you get your CS weapons to stay with you for each level change? Looks like you’re playing solo, I was under the impression the only way to be able to do that would be to play through the portal with 2 or more players…?

It should transfer automatically. If not, there is a way to do it. First you need a program called bspedit (you can download it here):filebase.bots-united.com/index.php?act=view&id=177 . Once you have it open one of the bsp files and look for a line called "trigger_changelevel" and add the line "keep_inventory "1" underneath it. It should work after that, but you will have to do it with all the op4 maps and any other maps that don't have the line.

@@heavyweaponsguy153 Awesome thank you, I will check that out. Nah if I pick a specific map from the drop down menu under “start new game” or console command a certain level, my CS guns get stripped with every level change. Other people I’ve read from say the only way you can keep your CS guns is to play from the portal (which requires more than 1 player).

@@heavyweaponsguy153 Yeah that didn’t work, at least on regular half life 1 single player campaign… I put in “keep_inventory “1” like you said, and also put in “keep_inventory” “1” (which it looks like all other lines already in the code have the line and value in parenthesis); neither worked. Does this only work on Op4 maps…?

@@IvyMike551 Thats odd it should have worked. Try the “keep_inventory” “1” again but put it above the line so it should look like this as an example: "model" "*158" "angles" "0 0 0" "keep_inventory" "1" "targetname" "change_to_c1a0e" "map" "hl_c01_a2" "classname" "trigger_changelevel"

@@heavyweaponsguy153 Still not working, and I looked at other indie map packs that have that line already in it, they have it exactly where you said to put it… not even my HL/Op4 weapons are carrying over level to level, let alone the CS weapons… this is freakin’ aggravating… is there something that has to be typed in the console at the start of each entry or something in the Sven Addons directory for the CS scripts/addons??

In Blue Shift, how do you keep ur weapons and ammo when changing levels?

The blue shift maps don't work. I tried everything and nothing works. If you want to give it a try there is a program called bsp edit here: filebase.bots-united.com/index.php?act=view&id=177 . Just find the line called trigger_changelevel and add the line "keep_inventory "1" underneath it.
