This game mode has been around for close to two years now and it still boggles my mind that players don't understand the importance of 'Linking up' at the start. The obvious advantage is that all 8 players will get the 4 hunter loot drops and 8 players vs a Hunter is far better than 4 vs a Hunter. Now when the squads spawn at 'East' and 'West' there is still a path to link up but it will also require a bit of back tracking to get all 4 Hunters. Again 8 vs 1 is a much better odds and will only add a fraction of time when squads spawn at these two points. The other issue I've come to accept, altho unwillingly is the low level hacks playing Heoric. By low level Hack I mean under SHD 1000, which means your watch hasn't been filled out. And by hack I mean a player wearing the Ninja Back pack and 4 striker pieces... ugg..lmfao. Now I haven't been playing this mode for awhile due to previously metioned issues, but also the constant disconnect from servers. It's absolute BS when you play Heroic and you're down to 5 or 6 players due to server disconnects. Plus because of these issues I found the rewards for Heoric over Challenging wasn't worth the hassle. Now for a positive.. I played recently and out of 6 missions, Exotic dropped 5 times but I got two Exotics on one mission. So I don't know if this is a bug or a change but I'll surely be trying this more often.

trying to link east and west can be more hassle than it is worth i feel. we just end up doing it normal if we land west and east, it is doable with a coordinated on comms team, but outside of that it is too common to get spread out in matchmade, and even in coordinated teams, you still have the issue of having to deal with two hunters till the west team gets there for the east team, which is fine on challenging, but can cause issues on heroic. and it is indeed sometimes a thing to go on a exo streak during countdowns, had it myself a few times aswell, but it is just rng doing rng things.

@@ikia The real issue is players NEED to learn that linking up at the beginning is beneficial. 99% of the players don't even realize that it's possible to do so. Yes the East/West spawn is questionable but doable, but not doing it means sacrificing hunter keys. Yeah Heoric is an easy pass unless you're taking a group with you. Otherwise Heoric with random is a lost cause, you don't get substantially more credits to make it worthwhile, due to issues I mentioned before.
