Council Tool- WOOD CRAFT - CAMP CARVER
Review of a pretty nice ax that is new from Council Tool called the CAMP CARVER. The Council Tool Co.’s WOOD-CRAFT Camp Carver is designed to be a multi-use bushcraft/camping axe, and a carving axe for fine woodworking. The design has its heritage in the larger riggers axes of North America, the bearded axes of Northern Europe. It’s a carver (bushcraft axe) that you don’t have to worry about bringing into the woods with you, or letting it get dirty while doing camp-chores.

I really like that axe. I am still using lesser quality axes till I pick a good design. Very smart to treat the handle ! I would say it was worth it !

Awsome
Excellent review. Expensive axe but well worth it. What I do is heat treat the handle black. That axe then will last forever and use linseed oil on it.

It's definitely worth the price. I have added a bunch of linseed oil to it. I have thought about burning the handle a bit as well.
Great review Brother. I hear good things about that carver. Touche' about not needing to be razor sharp. The risk of chipping would just be greater with the impact. Well having both sizes I'd say you're good Chris. =)

I have his bigger brother the 24” Woodcraft Pack axe. I like it thus far. I am wondering if I should pick one up, as well.

What? The hat is from Alpha Outpost and that is NOT a no America patch !! 🤷🏼♂️
I really like the woodglut plans.
Horrible background music.
